Mass kills in one of the lower lvl hotzones?

Mass killing in a lower hotzones takes opportunities away from peeps trying to level, so I won't attempt that unless the zone is empty. I remember trying to level in AC when peeps were 10 levels higher camping the whole zone. Unfortunate for me, I do respect other players and camps.

Mass killing in a lower lvl taking away others opportunities is kind of sketchy. Sony has repeatedly said that whomever tags a mob first and is fighting it gets 'dibbs' on that mob.

If you are 'camping' a particular mob like I was last night, then usually ppl let you have the next spawn but not always.

I was sitting with my group of 3, we had the entire undead camp around the Magus Wentior cleared (SOD progression, Man the Defenses), and were waiting for the Magus to spawn again. All the undead were completely gone. Then 1 misc goblin spawns and a group of 5 players roll down from the north and proceed to kick the snot out of that undead goblin. Well fine. Then the Magus spawns, (needed for the quest I was doing,) and that group proceedes to immediately tag it and kill it right in front of us. Well thanks. Nothing I could do. They tagged him first. Any shouting about KS'ing my spawn when I was sitting smack dab in front of the undead area with all spawns cleared and waiting for the next spawn, would have been just ranting to the zone. Totally legal thing to do but highly impolite. They immediately left the area to head to the next mission.

Now I relate this to your situation. If you need exp or a drop or something and choose to mow down dozens of lower mobs in a hot zone, its totally legal. It only becomes impolite when you take all the mobs that someone else is already keeping cleared right out from under them. Exp is Exp no matter what zone you chose to hunt in. Whether they are light blue to you or yellow to you is your choice. If you are 'camping' 30 mobs and mowing them down and some group of players 10 levels lower than you wants to claim the area you are already keeping cleared isnt that exactly the same situation above? The only difference is a single particular spawn versus 5 spawns versus 30 spawns.

The answer to this is communication. A polite 'Could you leave these 6 spawns over here for us?' is the very best answer. That might have prevented the KS of my team last night had I sent a tell to the group saying that I just needed the next Magus spawn and then I was leaving. Might not have made any difference though. They rolled up to Oceangreen Village and had already finished their 15 bertox kills (No Cure for Death) by the time I got there.

So dont worry about hunting for exp in a lower level hot zone if you want to do that. I find that very boring myself. But if there are others around just send a /tell so you dont step on eachothers intentions.
