I've been having a really hard time finding groups for awhile now, so I've been stuck at 70 for, oh, about 3 months... I'm half way through the level and really want to get my 71 pet, but I have NO idea where I can go to solo, and solo quickly.

Any ideas? I was doing BoT, but the experience there is just so subpar and I only have my level 52 pet heal spell so I can't do more than just CY.

If you want to level quickly, I would suggest the hot zones: PoStorms if you still get exp from it, or Sunderock.

I don't know the mage class, but I do have some advice for your spells:

Look in the bazaar and gather up the OoW/DoD spell runes so you can turn them in. OR you can look for the specific spell, as they are all researchable now.

Your level 69 pet heal is Renewal of Jerikor. This is one of the OoW/DoD spells.

And if that spell is too much for your bank, you can always look into getting your PoP pet heal: Planar Renewal. which is also researchable if you are having problems locating the drops for the spell (glyphed runes, iirc).

edit - level 69 OoW/DoD runes are NO DROP, but you can find them by camping the Odi camp in MPG, and pulling the various 4-5 named that are in the area.

I dusted off my 70 beasty. I'm staying 70 till I knock out 400 AA or so. I mostly solo my AAs. I take it you want to fight non runners. Why dont you try gargolyes in PoN city area. They are level 57 hit in the 300s single pulls and dont run. Everything sees inviso in PoN. When you zone in take a left to you come to a rock. Head towards the chasm. You have to fight like 3 mobs before you get to chasm. Levi up and cross the chasm looking straight up in the sky. Now semi hug the left wall. Watchout for the undead quest knight. As you approach the gargolye city get high on the left hill to avoid the 3 spider spawn trap. Congrats your at the golden honey city. Always pull the left center gargolye from the left side or you will get 2. Look out for them annoying bats. There is at least 10 here. The spawn time is nice. I kill them all self buffed and the 1st one pops waiting for me : ) You can rack up on gems here and EP's to help out the 59 62 ish crowd.

I was impressed with the AA xp in PoS, but I dont care for the crowds. All tier 1 PoP zones have a nice zone bonus already.

Good Luck to you.

You might try Blackfeather Roost. Get the daily quest and finish it, that should get you a couple percent of regular xp. The only thing you might watch out for is a couple "named" mobs there. The injured snake comes to mind. All the regular mobs on the first level should give xp (the only ones I can think of that wouldn't is the bear cubs). Also head into the cave on the first level to hunt the bears and spiders.

Hire a Healer Mercenary.

I don't understand since this was posted on the 24th I can only assume you did not buy SoD?

Soloing has become as easy as World of Warcraft. It's unreal really.

Healer Mercs will heal your pet like its the MT. Silly easy to solo anywhere as a Mage now or any class, really.

Even a Cleric can solo just by sitting and letting a tank merc kill mobs.
