Me and my friend are planning on duo'ing Nagafen in the next couple days.

Could someone give me some advice on aproaching the kill?

This is our first times actually trying to kill him.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated =D

What is your fire resist and HP? That's all you need besides DPS and heals.

If you are twinked out level 52 players there is no strategy. Just kill him and stay alive.

DO you have a magelo?

Would help to know which classes you will be using.

The AE debuff is what is going to get ya. Bring lots of haste pots and a few healing pots to start. Dont bother trying to cast on him, just keep the tank healed and if you have enough dps you win. I wouldn't think he would be that tough these days.

He's been solo'd by level 52 clerics at this point, even. There's a video on YouTube... just chain-healing and letting the Ward do its work.

Heh yeah that info would be useful =d

52 Shaman & 52 Mage.
Both pets will be equipped with pet toys + prime set.

Aren't really twinked, just have the intricate defiant gear for our level.
No magelo ... yet, not really good with setting that up, heh.

Thanks guys

Hrm, is Nagafen a belly caster? If he is, you might have some issues with keeping heals up on the Mage (assuming he'd be doing the tanking). You could probably just shammy tank it, face him away from the mage/pets and go to town with chain healing yourself.

That may be a problem. He is a belly caster meaning you need to be right in front of him and close to get a spell to land. To compound the problem dragons are pretty spell resistant. Maybe 1 in 5 lands even when malo'd, maybe worse. You may need some melee help.

Let us know how it goes.

Just wondering, could a Warrior Level 52 possibly solo? This would be with Vet buffs (Steadfast Servant and Resist Vet reward) also with Staunch Recovery If it can get off)... Just wondering if with heal/Dmg shield/haste/hp pots if it could be possible? Currently level 50 with 5khps, 1400ac.....max stats.(plan to get 52 first before I try)..just wondering if it might be possible to take him on and win?

I'd say you could take him. Naggy and Vox are pushovers with defiant/trio gear. Let us know if you try it.

I would be interested to know if you could. Should be a pretty straight forward fight, eh ?

Well guys...

Apparently doing it legit is harder than I thought =D

If someone has some tips on how to fight him... please

I'd love to hear.

It's going to be very hard with that duo. Tank/caster would be the best way to do it, because (since he's a belly caster) you can't rely on pets to tank him and blast/slow/etc. with the mage/shaman from a safe distance.

If you insist on trying it with that duo, run the shaman in first and try as hard as possible to land a slow on him. After that, you can back up and let the pets tank him a little bit while healing yourself back up, then run in and tank for the mage, while dotting/crippling/maloing/etc. Mage nukes in melee range. Shaman gets low on health, both back off and let the pets tank. Rinse and repeat.

Well as soon as I get 52 the fight will be on.. I have figured that unbuff at 52 my ac will be over 1400 and at least 5100hps. With this and the HP/AC/Dmg shield/haste Pots and my vet rewards going then having maby some AA's (also have some clickie effects such as Form of Defence 1/Lesser Shielding/Gobby Earring)I plan on a rough but fun fight.. I will post as soon as I attempt this and let you know how I do.. I will attempt Nag since Vox's Complete heals are horrible, Also I plan on using my Main (65Bst) to clear giants so that I dont have any issues with adds or being attacked prematurally.

Keep in mind that Lesser Shielding won't stack with Harnessing of Spirit (at least, I'm pretty sure they won't stack). In which case, you'll need to decide which is more important -- the extra hp from HoS, or the AC from Lesser Shielding.

Try to keep Spirit of the Puma on the pets, you can probably pet tank him after you get a slow/cripple off on him, it's just the beginning of the fight that's going to be tough.

Resists are everything when fighting Lord Nagafen or Lady Vox.
If you have to trade hp or ac for fire resist, do it.
Pretty sure Naggy casts a fear spell like Vox, if so, I hope you resist that too.

What always wiped us was the AE eating away at our hp due to lack of resists.

I should be ok in resit department. I can use the Vet reward that for 15 minutes gives me 500 resists across the board.. with that I should resist most effects..

If you resist "lava breathe" from Lord Nagafen do you also resist the cancel magic portion of that effect? If not he could give you some problems.

If you resist his Lava Breath spell, it resists the cancel magic portion, as well. I'm not sure what Resist: Fire (0) means you'll need as a base resistance to resist it half of the time, but meh.

Weird. Not that I've fought Nagafen with a merc but I've fought the raid flagged dragons in Western Wastes and the merc worked just fine.
