get used to it., because they're only going to hit harder as you progress in levels.

Depends alot on where you are hunting as well. In newer zones, mobs are alot tougher. Older zones = weaker mobs.

They did rescale the /con system a while back. light blue mobs are really dark blue mobs from the old system and dark blue mobs are the higher end dark blue.

Work your way to 71 for your monster air pet. Do you have a pet focus now ? If not get a friend/guildie to help you with https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=65859 on the undead island at barren coast at night. Are you talking about the snakes in sunderock springs by chance ? Them little buggers can do some dmg output.

Lower expansion mobs have less hps & dmg dealing power. Deep deep hole broken xxx mobs are cake and nice loot for the effort for you. A lot of gold for effort xp zones in PoP.

Good luck stick with it!

I think it probably is worth mentioning (yet again) that EQ is, in fact, intended to be a group game. They've made vast improvements to the low end game in order to facilitate solo play through those levels, but the higher you go, the more you're going to need a group. At a certain point, solo play just isn't worth the pain.
