I love using blunts on my SK. Sure a lot of slashers have better ratios. I prefer to crush my enemies. My knight is still using mace of dark glory at 70. I love the 20ac and the healing proc. When im tanking in a group my mace and shield is a must for me most times.
2hb swings now look like 2hs ones. The old thrust attack looked lame to me. I'm glad it was finally changed. I still have my heart set on https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=46853 . Having defensive capped, I'm starting to work on offensive AA's now.
How do you feel about the humble 2 hand blunt on a toon that can use 2hs or 2hp ?

When I originally made my SK, I had romantic role-play notions and only used blunt and piercing weapons. I didn't have a real reason for it, I was just trying to be distinctive.
Later, I was sorely disillusioned by the ratios and choices among 2H non-slashers. Finally, I caved and started using a 1HS and then, when the Legacy promotion started, went for a 2HS. I spent a couple evenings in Skyshrine collecting skill-ups by hacking away at green/lt. blue mobs with a that Kunark runed meat-clever looking thing with the 24 delay.
Good to hear that they finally changed the animation. I also notice that there's some decent 2H B/P weapons these days and my scores are already near maxed for my level so maybe I'll invest. I've always had a soft spot for collecting weapons, especially class specific ones.

Still use the 2hb weapon that dropped off undead commanders a few halloweens ago.

As a ranger, I have all my weapon skills maxed, of course, but I dual wield 1hs (epic) and a 1hb. So I get the best of both worlds. I also carry weapon "sets" with me. There are mobs that are more susceptable (sp?) to certain weapon types, so I will trade out for those mobs for a set that is more appropriate. Bottom line though is I dont fall in love with any one weapon type, and will use the weapons I currently have with the best balance of ratio/stats/procs.
My 68 SK still uses Earthspined Staff as his 2HB and loves it
