Couch potato weekend. Watched Star Wars Episode IV, V and VI as well as the bonus material on Saturday. Remembered having lots of fun with OGame and restarted an account. Sunday, tried to arrange our trip to Namibia, gonna book this evening.

No EQ for me this weekend, only two quick errands and some tailoring (got to 186, yay!).

Whole buncha nothing. Farmed some gear for my baby ranger who has been around forever (used to mainly be a raid mob tracking bot). Leveled the ranger from 24 to 30. Ummm... tried to farm some more gear.

Got a whole bunch-load of ornate defiant plate and silk. Not so much chain, naturally.

Finally managed to get another lvl on my paladin, at 49 now, halfway 50.

I was in Gorukar Mesa, doing the armour quests there although none were replacements I could use but anyway. Slow but steady xp, not many drops but some of the items dropped do vendor for over 20pp each. Got about 800 pp, definitely not bad.

After that, I started to roam through Norrath. Somehow I thought there was a fairly decent zone I could level in past the Paludal Caverns. Ofcourse, there aren't that many zones near there for a lvl 49, but going through the Grimling Fores, I did end up in the Tenebrous Mountains, where I spent some time on Sunday butchering the vampires. Darkblue named mobs there, a bit tricky but not impossible. Drops are only coterie materials, I doubt the market is still strong for those.

After that, I decided to roam some more, managed to really find a corner in the middle of nowhere and after I found myself in the Grieg, on the wrong end, I just used a gate potion. I also discovered that Keg Keep isn't the only underwater zone, luckily the zoneline was nearbye.

Fun, but ultimately a bit of a waste of time. Apart from Grieg, I never encountered anyone.

Leveled my enchanter from 64 to 68 in WoS. Found Discordling Warfiend wandering around and decided, what the hell. I was shocked at how easily my mage took him down with just my pet and a few nukes. Never even had to heal. Guess that makes up for the times he killed me when I was little.

Made a ton of AAs on my mage without even really trying helping out my enchanter and managed to max out Companion's Agility and Elemental Agility. Should make my pet a bit more resilient.

Also went to Vex Thal for the first time, me 2 boxing with a fellowship member also 2-boxing. Ran into a fellow guildee already there killing named (2-boxing, naturally) so the 3 of us had a bit of fun there for a while. Didn't get any of the clickies that I wanted but we'll be back for sure.

Also got a mana clickie from Hulgor with some guildees' help. +400 to mana pool? Why yes, thank you!

There's no underwater zones near Greig's. I think you maybe went into The Grey which requires a water-breathing enchantment. According to the lore, the remaining Shissar retreated to there after the Greenmist killed off the rest of their numbers. They constructed a vacuum around their temple on Luclin so that the Greenmist couldn't get to them. The Greenmist being, literally, a green mist sent by the gods to poison the Shissar.

Interesting lore aside, the Grey is a big dump filled with boring landscapes and obnoxious mobs who generally drop nothing of interest. Unless you're after one of the few decent drops there, it's definate fly-over country.

Or unless you're a Bst doing Epic 1.0 or 1.5 prequest. I didn't like the zone too much either.

That's the one I mean, it's one zone away from Grieg's through the Scarlet Desert. I didn't stay long, only as long as was needed to zone straight out again.

Friday: I Burned LoD, watched Monk.

Saturday: I worked out of town all day no EQ.

Sunday: A friend asked for help with Mina the Miserable. She popped back to back dropping https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=65859 both times yeah. It was fun getting turned into a sea turtle. My mage friend liked the pet focus. We did a DoN mission and low and behold intricate defiant silk pants dropped. You guessed it day of the mage, upgrade !

Have a good week.

Friday: Spent half the night working on epic 1.5 for my ranger. The went to a multi-target raid with my guild. I won theMask of the Second Born on a random roll.

Saturday: No EQ. I had a date night with the wife. Went to a restaurant we had not tried. We will not be going back, lol.

Sunday: Went to Fort Mech for the first time. Decent exp but, I wasn't all that impressed.

Also, for the first time in a long time, I booted someone from the guild. A new member (like invited the day before) was being a douche because I wouldn't give him an upgrade from our guild bank. I explained to him it was guild policy to wait a week before giving a new member loot. He said in guld chat that I was an ahole who wanted to hold members down. I told him he was holding himself down and removed his ***.

Friday: I didn't finish teaching scuba diving until about 10 PM. Once I got home, going to sleep sounded better than EQ.

Saturday: I got a nice block of EQ. I moved my box crew to The Steppes. I am a couple levels too high to really appreciate the gnolls, but I had a good time and snagged a couple rank II spells. The giants aren't bad, but some additional DPS would be nice for them.

Sunday: Stayed in The Steppes for most of the morning. For some reason, I wanted to see if I could handle the "earth section" of Phase 1 in the Plane of Time. I could handle it, but once again, my low DPS would have made it take forever. I gated everyone out and let my warrior use the gate hammer to get out unscathed. Later, I helped a random rogue get his epic 1.5 drop for Kod'Taz. I am still impressed with how hard and fast those mobs hit.

Backing up to Thursday I had shaman head to the hole with 2 members (3 toons) of Lucky Insane. (On Tuesday after patch we took out 2 Golems in fear for the childs tear, so I started in on my shaman epic again.)
Got to high scale kirin only to have him refuse hand in. Petitoned and camped out after killing a few dozen mobs around him. Reply to petion stated I wasnt showing enough faction due to bug on earlier hands ins. Since I had done everything in order a GM set my faction to proper level.)

Friday I had some play time with ranger running around, with enchanter getting to stone hive, with grandkids and killing in sol a for Cleric epic. I Went to work. When I came home I burned LoD on shaman in hole, and found some other folks there as well. I asked if they would be willing to help me on hand in mob as Ididnt want to do hand in solo. After a few min a 71 sk came up and quickly dispatched Kirin. I then logged and buffed with courtin, and took him to GoD zone with some more LI folks. dinged 2 aa on cleric 1 on shaman.

Saturday was work on lighthouse/ship duty. Then went to Science Fiction Society meeting. When I came home logged on to check traders and played for a while, not sure what I did.

Sunday AM I logged on Jonwin to join a group in the deep. Made my way over the bridge but turned the wrong way and ran into see invis mobs. Dead paladin. Rezzed, turned on LOD and in the next hour dinged 2 aa's. Leaving group I decided to try to run to ssra temple. Popped DA but due to bouncing off rocks I didnt make zone before it ran out. Dead paladin. Went off to work, came home rezzed him and then ran him to permafrost to work on getting the other drops of silverwing that I need. going to try for the aug. Hour of killing stuff resulted in shard, but no armor drp. Then logged in my chanter and bl to meet LI guildies in stone hive. dinged 40 and 41 on chanter, picked up exp to 46 on beastl.

Saturday - Helped a guildie/Rl acquantaince finish their wizzy 1.0. Went to Anguish on a guild/alliance run later in the night and cleared through AMV. Sadly my hammer gate attempt failed miserably on OMM. (I'd done it the week before for laughs but didnt get a screenshot before the loading screen popped.)

Sunday - Stayed off my main to play the Ranger alt, got 4 levels in bot, 61-65. Such a fun class when grouped with a competent tank. Only 6 levels to put all the shiny Guk / BB things to use on it.

Did get one upgrade on my Pally main though, as a Brewer's shard (25 AC) went to rot in BB and a guildie tipped me off.
