So I just came back to the game a while ago, and started rolling with my pally. Working myself broke making cultural armor, minding my own business and got myself to lvl 66. I'm not in a big guild, don't know a lot of higher level players. Did they honestly set this up so that I have no choice but to farm up another 100k in plat or beg someone to take their time doing something not beneficial to them in order to just get my spells for the next 5 levels? Seems ridiculous. From what I can see, there's no way I could get the necessary drops on my own, let alone get into an instanced zone in some cases. I understand a challenge, but this seems kind of retarded. I'm hoping I'm missing something. And no, I'm not in the mood to use a caster to work up yet another tradeskill. One was tedious enough.

You can use runes from DoDh and from OOW to turn in for your spells. Occasionally someone will do DoDh missions more than sitting at some boring camp inside an instanced Draniks Hollows. You will have to do some DoDh missions anyway for those 68 and 70 spells.
It is truely harder to find runes now that no one has to do signets to enter Anguish. Before, at least, there were ppl that needed signet drops that could care less about rune drops. Now that route of 'incidental' farming of runes has dried up completely.
Alternatively just do whatever is fun and sell the Defiant armors and stuff you find, and just buy the runes. They will gradually become more expensive as less folks farm those zones.
And lastly, you can just skip those spells, if you can live without them. I mean to just level to 71-80 and find all your spells at the vendors. You wont be casting many 65-70 ones after that anyway. Aside from your Aura's I mean.

You will pretty much have to group in OOW or bite the bullet and buy them in the bazaar. Massive/Feren in NC or cubbies in WoS are both good places to get 66 67 68 but for the rest you will need to cultivate some higher level friends to farm the likes of Murkglider School Leader or Menlo, both in NC, for the 69's and for the 70's you can try to get instanced in MPG. If you decide to buy them I suggest you try to barter for them rather than buying from sellers as you will pay perhaps a two-thirds less if you are patient.
To make fast plat barter is your friend. Farming is for newbs.

You have four options:
1. Level up and starting at level 71, you can start buying your spells from NPC merchants. I don't think any of the 66-70 spells are soooooo unique that you have to have them.
2. Camp or buy the runes you need. You will still be victim to the turn-in order. When you turn in the runes, you get the spells in a pre-arranged order, and the "better" spells are usually at the end of the order.
3. Buy the player made spell in the bazaar. This allows you to skip the "order" mentioned in #2. By the way, if you scribe a player made spell, the "order" will skip it accordingly if you still do the turn in.
4. Gather up the components needed for someone to make the spell for you. I have seen a few people in the Guild Lobby willing to do the combines for little or no money if everything else is provided.

Thanks much. Kinda what I was expecting, but figured it couldn't hurt to ask.
Finding someone to research these spells for you is the only way to do it unless you have a regular group to hit OOW/DOD.
eyIt's up to you if you decide to skip them entirely, but as a Ranger there were some class-defining spells that greatly improved my puppet.

Yeah I'm a 67 wiz now and I decided to just use my 65 spells till 70 lol. It's not that hard, I lvl 65-67 off light blues I was farming with 80% going into AA :)
