I just created a drakkin monk was wondering what stats are important to this class . I was told agility and ac. I have been able to get his agility up 231 and his dex sta, and strg are above 150. Is there any other stats that i would need to get up in order to lvl right????

I have always gone with str and sta for all my melee types.

Dex would be my next priority. The higher it is the faster you will skillup melee attack skills (and you will get a lot of them at later levels that you will want to climb quickly). Then Str and Sta IMHO.

Then keep raising whichever is higher between your Int and Wis. I believe this will speed your skillups in feign death, and tradeskills if you pursue them, but perhaps someone who knows could enlighten us both.

They've buried the old class forums here, but there's still a lot of good information there- https://everquest.allakhazam.com/wiki/eq:Monk

Monkly Business is the best site for Monk info however- http://www.monkly-business.net/index.php?pageid=home

There's lots of good info at the monkly business site. They'll show you how to pull 4 mobs into camp, FD in front of the healer, and wipe the group... well, except fot you, of course. You're FD.

Unless you end up becoming one of the 15 monks in the game who know what they're doing...

Well sorry bro but this all is completly wrong. Don't worry about skillups. You will have plenty of time for that. Str = more damage = faster kills. Sta = more hps = live longer. The rest of your stats dont really matter at this point and by the time they do, better gear will more than make up for whatever you are missing now.

So keep that str and sta at 250 if you can afford it.

I agree with keeping str and sta up (especially if you solo or tank), but I think agi is the most important for a monk. Monks are not meant to take damage, and agi helps to prevent getting hit, as it works alongside dodge and innate defense. It also helps keep our AC up, which reduces the amount of damage we take. So the order of priority I see is agi, str, sta and then dex. Dex should be increased as soon as you get dual wield as it'll increase your chances of hitting with your offhand.

Your stats seem fine to me. I am one of those who think stamina is very very important and rate it above str. By the time you reach 60 however almost all your stats will be maxing, either through potions or spells.

The stats listed by the OP are all higher than mine, at 35. Regardless of exact priorities, at 35, I'm able to solo fine with unbuffed Agi of 180, Dex and Sta of 148 and Str of 139 -- I use potions made by my shaman alt to buff all 4 stats (plus levitation, SoW, skinspikes and regeneration potions) when I really need them in combat. And of course the drakkin dragon breath DoT helps. I like to group, but I won't let a group try to make me the tank -- that would be crazy for me. The monk is my 6th alt, so I am not committing a lot of effort here until my other alts are set. I also expect the 4 stats will all be about maxed by 50th or 60th level.

STR makes you hit harder
DEX makes you miss less often and have your weapons proc more
AGI makes you dodge more and have better AC
STA makes gives you more HP

So these are all good things to have for their own reasons.

If I were to roll a monk it would be with the expectation that s/he would not be a tank. As far as I know monks don't even get taunt, so probably a cleric with their stuns and defensive procs would even be a better tank than a monk. So I would focus on offensive melee stats and skills (str for melee damage and dex for procs) as much as possible, leaving hp/ac/sta/agi secondary. Monks get mend, which could offset the random damage they might get if they catch the odd tick or two of aggro.
