Morning guys and gals, welcome to the weekend update!

Thu: An old friend visited me, which prevented me from participating in my group's weekly grinding session. Had some spare ribs and lots of beer.

Fri: No idea what I did.

Sat: Got an hour at night and tried to improve my tailoring skill. 47 combines on the Spider Silk Filter gave only 3 skillups (from 168 to 171). Great. Smiley: motz Managed to get two more AAs and could finally afford Pet Affinity.

Sun: We had planned Dinner & Casino, but the dinner was substandard (given it was the restaurant of a 4* hotel); felt sick afterwards and had to return home.

How was your weekend?

A bit of a slow weekend.

I played on Friday, got my paladin up to lvl 47 in the Tower of Frozen Shadows, got to the fourth floor but it gets tough on that floor, even if all the mobs are green or light blue. Way too many of them at the same time. I'll try to progress there a bit later. After that, I decided to roam Norrath a bit and went for the lightforge bones, scattered over seven zones. Unrest, Erudin, Kaladim all went easy enough. Then I decided to try the Mistmoore bone, in the garden, after being attacked by all the greys in the zone (yes, I know, I should have started to use calm on them, for some reason I just didn't think of it, or use an invis potion now that I think of it) I just said "to heck with it" and tried to run there. Ofcourse, I got lost in the mansion, so I died. Back to lvl 46.

On Saturday, went to my parents, came home to find my kitten sick (I won't describe what he did, quite distasteful, I even skipped lunch) so no EQ then.

On Sunday, I went after my black medallion in Gunthak harbour to get my healing spell. I was very lucky to find a solo spot available (mainly because there were no other players or only a few there) and it dropped rapidly. The spirit was also up so I have the heal. Also made it to lvl 48 fighting in the harbour. (slow xp though, not a hotzone I believe) I upgraded a few armour parts (and was very lucky a guild member gave me the good stuff, really helped me out) and am now preparing to lvl up to 50 to start the Soulfire questline. With the revamping of Freeport, it won't be as easy to kill Lucan d'Lere I believe, but that's for another day.

FRI: Grind Grind Grind AA's on the DRU and NEC.

SAT: More grindage on the dynamic dou. More fun and games with the " im camping this 1/2 of the zone moron". Watched the Deer hunter. FOr a criticly acclaimed movie I feat it was really in search of a plot. Fixed 2 lap tops for my Aunt and had a nice picnic dinner.

SUN: More AA's grindage. Started this weeks lessons, checked and saw my leessons have been graded 5 A's and 1 B so far.

Weekend Whine(TM): If you are going to start a arguement, try not to go down the " I was once the guild leader of a HUGE guild, and what I say goes now....." path. No one cares who you were yesterday ( with a few execptions ) but who you are today.

I did not have much time to play this weekend. I spent a little time on the SW in the harbor and and fun. Real life took up most of my time.

Saturday: I helped an enchanter friend gear up. We hit up the werewolves in Undershore. https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=44928 dropped the 1st time on the named, fun little spot. I went to harbinger's spire for the 1st time. That is a fun zone. https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=33947 dropped to upgrade her legs. Saturday night we did grounding the drakes for radiant crystals.

Sunday: I hunted for EPs for friends 62 shammy /mage box. I got a muramite rune in NC. Early early monday morning I went shopping. I've killed like 2000 57-62 mobs and never seen any intricate defiant silk drop. I bought enchanter friend intricate defiant cap, gloves, and feet. I bite the bullet and went back to felmight neck and range hehe. My ac is up to 2016 now. My healer is a shammy box. I'd better gear up as best I can if I ever want to see tanking in MPG, the hive, RoI, etc.

Wed/Thu - Had a visit from Hurricane Dolly - No Power = No EQ :(

Friday - Clean up from the storm

Saturday - More storm clean up, was able to get a bit of time working DoN tasks with Monk/Druid

Sunday - More storm clean up, bit more on DoN Tasks, and drooled over the new Gnollish gear.

Luckily, we came out of the hurricane in good shape. Lost some roof shingles and a roof vent. But others were not so fortunate, some people are still without power and some have waist deep water still in their homes.

Spent a good part of the weekend not playing due to my Legacy free time being up and real life stuff. I got my 55 mage the pet aura out of Takish-Hiz (using my SK for the real work). Those golems sure are undercons. Didn't die or anything but they were tougher fights than they should have been.

Really, my SK basically just carried my mage's water all weekend Smiley: grin Killed thought leeches in the Deep until the Silverwing mask dropped. Farmed around Akheva Ruins for the caster charm. Finally got it and sent my mage on the field trip through DoDH for Slipgear's. Found out the hard way that a Ring of Flight clicked by a lvl 5 goblin rogue gets you a mighty 2min of levitation time. Luckily, my Quillmane cloak is good for 12min. Never did finish the Hive portion but I got the other 4 done and can't complain about the stats.

Had a great EQ weekend.

Friday - Hit DSH with my ranger an experience grind. Later that night, my guild hit Porthio in Relic and Anastasia in Theater of Blood. No drops for me but it was a good night.

Saturday - I had the best non guild pick-up group I have ever had in Blackburrow. We went with a NBG loot standard until everyone got atleast one upgrade. The when rolled on the rest if we could use it. I ended up with a Gnollish Chain Coat, Gnollish Chain Bracer and a Gnollish Chain Helm. I also ground out three more AA's.

On a side note - I hated the BB trains when I started playing EQ 5 years ago and I still hate them now. It did bring back a nostalgic feeling though.

Sunday - Went back to BB again. No armor drops but gained a Potion of Adventure. I also dinged another AA.

Lol, this really made me laugh! :-)) Remember back in time when we were fighting at the entrance, lots of players in zone, regular trains... Think I should visit BB (although I might not be able to do anything there at lvl 65).

It might be tough. All the armor being dropped in 71 required. Also, a simple gnoll is red to me at level 71. They were hitting me for close to 2K last night.

Fri - Guild raid. Wiped twice on a 2.0 mob. Summertime takes away body count. Then finished off a 1.5 Final mob. Was a lot of fun. Also, first time I had more than 10K hp and 5k mana.

Sat - Went to a concert no real play time.

Sun - Mucked around a bit. Usual spot in Riwwi for boxing was camped so explored and found a unique camp spot on a wall in a corner. Was interesting till I managed to overpull and got myself wiped. OOOPPPSSS!

I haven't been playing much at all lately. The weather is just too nice to stay indoors.

I did log in a for bit last night. Took my trio (72 zerker, 75 cleric, 68 chanter) to Splitpaw and my sister joined me with her baby necro(58). Turned reg exp back on for the zerker and ended up about a blue away from 73. Can't let Marres catch up to me! Smiley: tongue

They revamped BB for the Living Legacy promotion (they also revamped LGuk). They added some great loot and boosted all the gnolls like 60 levels. I love it there.

As for baby Joseph, I looted him from Lord Elgnub the other night. I am thinking of turning him in to get the gnollslayer for old times sake.

I put Baby Joseph into Mr. Sayer's trade window and then close it just to be a jerk.

Thurdsay I was off work, so I spent a few hours in Stonebrunt hunting pandas to complete wakis..(sp/0 of the frozen skies quest. Made 5 of them. Also killed heretics, but no hast sash. Spemt time on eq traders cleaning out druids bank of ts items and non items.

Friday after work I was back to skyfire grind with paladin/cleric. no drops but few aa's. Logged on primrose for a LoD burn, picked up an aa. Bought some armor upgrades in bazaar for plate wearers. (winjon at 61 was still wearing bp of the slavetrader.)

Saturday. Played primrosex and winjon, then the cleric. Picked up my 3rd shard and an AA a piece on all 3. Took Jonwinnie to BB. Gnoll pup was Dark Blue and my invised dropped so I tried to take him. Max hit was 550 against me, avg was 300. I zoned out at 20 percent health, pet was at 2 percent.
Logged onto chanter/beast duo in moors, took them to undead tower and the chante dies when I run her off the ramp and a skell aggroes, just as one of the sargents is engaged by my beast lord. Beginnign to rethink this duo, just too much need to swicth screens in combat. It is a nice combo if I can charm a mob for a pet.
The undead are just too resistant to mezz and cant be charmed. Maybe different mobs/zone will work. Ding 38 on the chanter anyway. Saturday evening had the grandkids over. Watched part of TmnT 2 with them.

Sunday Logged onto mage Erran. Spent a few hours learning languages from Courtin. Mage Was 16 but after killing undead in cr and doing quests he is 18. Still more questing to do. Mostly leveling mage without a lot of help, but I did bring ranger to cr to help scout and give ranger ds to mage and pet. Had to log off a few hours due to thunderstorms.
More bank clean up on mage and chanter.

Fun weekend...ran around Hate trying to get the Eerie chest to spawn with my 64 cleric ( made 65 while there ) and my 60 warrior ( made 61 while there) Looking for the shield of stalwart seas for my Erudite paladin...none dropped, but still fun tooling around in Hate

Zieveraar- It is going to be tough to get the key at your level from Cara...that MAgi curse of hers is unresisitable...it would be good to bring a friend to help with adds and to finish her, cause that fight was hard on my cleric at 53...

Interesting, thanks for the info! I've lost my interest in the zone for the moment, but I will try to progress further at a later day.

Paw has been a sweet spot for AAing for me. I'm going to hate to out-grow it.

Aye, I am milking it for what I can until I get totally bored of it, then I'll level up. :)
