SoF Group Armor UpgradingFollow

Start with the appropriate armor type:

Plate: Warped Steel
Chain: Alloy-Linked
Leather: Scratched Hide
Silk: Glossy Silk

Obtain a Steam Core. Either one for your class or not. Class types are as follows:
Mag Bst Steam Core: Consort
Clr Shm Steam Core: Dedicant
Brd End Steam Core: Dream
Dru Rng Steam Core: Druadic
Ber Wiz Steam Core: Intensity
Rog War Steam Core: Martialism
Nec Shd Steam Core: Necrotic
Mnk Pal Steam Core: Purification

IF AND ONLY IF, your Steam Core is not for your class, then you need to combine the Steam Core you have plus your class appropriate Core Gear Kit in a Steam Core Re-Gearing Kit to convert your Steam Core, to your class appropriate one.

NEW: Or, if you only have essences, you can take any single essence (Earth Essence, Air Essence, Fire Essence, or Ice Essence), and purchase a Steam Core: Inert from Automated Vending Unit V in Dragonscale Hills, as well as the class appropriate Core Gear Kit and combine the three pieces in a Steam Core Re-Gearing Kit to create your class appropriate Steam Core.

Once you have your class appropriate Steam Core, combine your un-auged armor and the Steam Core in a Steam Core Embedder to create your Tier 3 armor.

The Steam Core Embedder, Steam Core Re-Gearing Kit, and Core Gear Kits are all available from Automated Vending Unit II in Dragonscale Hills with upper Indifferent faction with Ak`anon Strike Force V.

Once you have a Tier 3 armor and any single essence from Crystallos (i.e. Earth Essence, Air Essence, Fire Essence, or Ice Essence) you can combine the Essence and the Armor in an Elemental Essence Grafter available from Tonas or the other other brothers in Dragonscale Hills with Kindly Crusaders of Veeshan faction to make the lower version of the Tier 4 armor.

To make the better Tier 4, you need 1 of each Essence (see above) and the basic Tier 3 armor. However, IF AND ONLY IF you already a basic Tier 4 piece and the other 3 Essences no in that piece of armor, you can remove the Essence by combining the un-auged armor in a Elemental Essence Extractor to recieve the Tier 3 armor back, and the Essence.

To make the Chromatic Tier 4 armor, you need each Essence combined in Elemental Essence Amalgamator to create a Prismatic Essence which you comine along with the Tier 3 armor in a Prismaridescent Essence Grafter to create your Chroma-type Tier 4 armor.

Any information on the Inert cores yet? Nothing in the item's page here on Alla and the only post I've seen regarding them the guy said he couldn't get it to do anything. . .

Added Inert Steam Core info, that I could verify. I didn't have enough essences to test out using a Prismatic, but why would you want to use 4 when you can use 1. :)

Will add link to Vending Unit V when it appears in the beastiary, just a blank link atm.
