Morning everyone...

Not much EQ for me last week(end), had to go to Amsterdam for work. Our company took us to the Bruce Springsteen concert on Thursday evening, that old man still got some power... :-)

Managed to make 2 AA on my Bst just before servers went down for the patch last Thursday. On Sunday, I played Dawn of War - I just need some SF from time to time! ;-)

Was a light on EQ weekend for me as well. Did manage to solo the warrior to level 42. Switching to Dulak has upped the risk considerably, though the snare sword is working wonders.

Almost ran into the Greysong Pirates in Gunthak (I was thinking I might want to xp a few levels there before Dulak). That wouldn't have gone well. I found it odd that they have shrunk all the nifliks at some point as well. It makes sense I suppose, just strange after all these years of them being huge bugs.

Poked around Veksar on my necro and was confused by the odd models most of the undead iksars were sporting --they looked like dragorn/iksar halfbreeds??? Although the named spawned as the "ghost" iksars.

FRI: Off work for a "Stress test" at the hospital. Not a way I would choose to spend 1/2 my day. Still waiting on the results. Dinged 79 on the Druid Onward to 80! Ran into a real moron at my Camp spot on the DRU. The place is large and wile its nice to be alone there even at max rate killing with the fast respawn rate you cannot keep it cleared. Normally its split in 1/2 with out any down time or issues. I got there today and there was 1 person in the camp. I asked if they minded shareing and they refused, but were leaving in 20 minutes. I sat as I was on the phone at the time and the toon was only puling a few mobs from the center of the camp. I asked again as there were a lot of mobs uncamped and the toon started with nasty tells and ended with petitioning me for camp stealing. Not bad from the sitting position.

SAT: AA Grind on the DRU and the NEC. Dung 54 on the team with my wife ( Pally, CLR, BRD, Wiz ) Spent a little time on the GRD in LoTR. Watched Alligator. The wife loved bad horror movies.

SUN: More Grindage on the DRU and NEC. Sepnt a extended amount of time on the guitar prepping for school to start in a week. Spent a little time in LOTR and WoW helping the wife with a mission there.

Weekend Whine(TM) Its funny. I am in 3 MMO's and there really is a lot of differance in the maturity levels in between games. Wow being the lowest and LoTR having the highest. EQ has allways had ups and down depending on where you were at. Its a game have fun but remember there are other people out there playing as well. If you want a private place to your self try a console game.

My lvl 63 Shadowknight had a 2HS skill of about 95 (used to use 2HB & 'Sword n Board') and I never fixed it because it was so tedious. I finally went to Skyshrine and spent the weekend hacking at lt. blue & the occassional green mob with an Ornate Rune Blade. My pet was out DPSing me by a fair amount. The mobs were so easy though that I'd pull one, hit attack, go throw some clothes in the dryer, come back and tap my Lifetap hotkey, throw clothes in the wash and then return to pull another mob.

Went from 95 to 265 (190-210 really sucked) and am using a Battleleader Ceremonial Sword now and doing real damage. I also made about 12 AAs.

Skyshrine is lonely. Hours spent as the only person in the zone. I sent out invites in general chat and set LFP on for folks lvl 46-55 to leech hotzone xp off me just for the company but only one lvl 45 SK ever wanted to make the trip. He finished the second half of 45 and all of 46 within about 45min though.

Took my paladin to North and South Ro to finish the armour quests there, got squished by a Sand Giant in South Ro. My own fault as I took too long to start to run away (the orc wasn't dead yet), almost made it to the zoneline but died two or three meters away.

Still got two levels this weekend, doing quests that were a bit too low for my level though, only have two quests left at lvl 21. I have to go to Everfrost and Highkeep pass. Should be fun, haven't been there in a long time. Spent some time in North Karana too, hunting the highland lions for the lion pelts. No luck so far.

Even spent some time at the bazaar selling, didn't sell much but at least some went after the bone chips and spider silk.

I'll be heading to Unrest soon, which definitely should be fun!

No EQ this weekend as a neighborhood BarBQ pretty much wiped the whole thing out for me.

A slow weekend for me on EQ.

Friday: hit DSH for a little experience grouping. Had bad luck and couldn't win any of the drops.

Saturday and Sunday: No EQ, hung outside and enjoyed the beautiful weather with the family.

FRI: The inlaws came into town, so I holed up in my room to play a little EQ. I'm very antisocial when they are around. I took my necro to Icefall, he is only 65, to see how well I could do. I pulled one, snare landed and proceeded to kite it around. After I killed it I checked my AA xp and it jumped 23%! So after a quick med I continued killing until I finished my crit AA's.

SAT: My daughters first B-day party! It was a lot of fun but soooo tiring. She got more crap than she needed but had a great time hamming it up for everyone and playing with her new toys. When we got back home I snuck on long enough to make some potions for my mule.

SUN: Logged on with a guy from work to hunt misty acorns for a few bags. Holy cow those things are a pita! I found a enough for one bag and that took a hour or more. Will hopefully get some play time tonight and try to catch up with my friend so we can die in some SoF zones.

FRI: No EQ. I spent all day at the White Sox vs. Cubs game, and by the time I go home, I was in no condition to sit in front of the computer.

SAT: Nice chunk of EQ. I tried taking my box group to DoDh mission 69.1. I wanted to see if my necro could split them, but I failed miserably. I then took my group to Tower of Sol Ro. I got some decent exp, a couple defiant drops, and some PoP spell quest turn-ins. I cut the grass in the evening. I also moved my box group to BoT to check out the exp there. The place was heavily camped.

SUN: I had another good run at EQ in the morning. In BoT, I was able to grab the west wing of the main floor. Nice exp and some more spell drops.

Grand results:

Account #1: Warrior gained 10-12 AA
Account #2: Cleric gained 5-6 AA; Bard leveled from 58 to 62
Account #3: Shaman leveled 67 to 69; Necro lost some exp
Account #4: Ranger leveled from 65 to 67

Thur-Fri decided to try doing DoDH level 70 spell missions with Necro and Druid with monk being FD at zone in. Was fun the missions were just about perfect for the combo I had. 70.4 flight of the seeker was the toughest fight it really pushed me to my limit and had to use every clicky vet aa and regular aa I could think of to pull it off. 70.5 dropped the 10% dodge aug and I had to decide if aug should go to necro are monk in end I gave it to monk because I had a empty type 3 aug slot and decided necro would get 8% type 3 aug from LDoN.

Sat-Sun spent gaining LDoN points for dodge aug talk about boring I had thought about maxxing LDoN charm aug but noway I could put up with grinding 200+ LDoN missions it would take. It did give me a chance to get monk some skillups by letting monk kill slowed undead mobs with druid healing him. While necro was busy killing about 6 mobs in the time it took monk to kill one.

Necro is inching closer and closer to max AA and gained 4-5 group leadership AA while druid is now at 80AA monk being the lowbie with only 20AA.

I played eq but dont remember a lot of friday. I think i had winjon in skyfire helping lay waste to mobs for cleric epic drops. Many dead sofew shard/fragments.May have burned LOD in lavaspinner lair for Jonwin and courtin. Doing th don faction quests. courtin can now get quests for don missions.
Was in a bit of pain from leg and the pain med may have affected my gameplay and or memory.

Saturday. Busy day, worked on the ship for the first time in weeks. Emergency call in due to someone else having to cancel. Did a bus tour at midday then returned to ship to close up. Took paladin and shaman to infected paw. Wow, got aggroed by a elemental lord, red to shaman at entrance and had to zone out. With proper spell sets up and paladin ready to tank I was able to kill it, but took a bit of the shaman manna. Played a bit on enchanter beastlord in moors.

Sunday. No work but slept late and watched Irma La Douce on tcm. Logged on cleric ranger in lava to burn LOD. They also working don faction. Ranger dies when there the named spider adds to the two he is fighting. CH just missed landing. Cleric popped DA and ran. Logged on chanter beast( in a 35 shroud.) to finish smith tasks in CR. Got the rewards but beast died to too many adds on the way out of the mines. Rezzed him and took beast and pet to kill undead for ogre relics. Died again when the witch wandered by and the skels i had killed repopped.
Jonwinnie was going to to to Ilsulin as a slower, but the group headed out of undershore before I got there. (Despite my asking them to wait.) I died in undershore just as soon as i got near the water as the invis dropped. Was so peeved i said goodbye to group and logged for a bit. Logged on later to summon corpse and rezz. Did a dain 2 with 4 people total. took a bit of time but we were succesful. Logged for the night.

Well, it seems the time has come for me to move on from EQ.
I've accomplished everything I've wished to accomplish, and it seems some memories are better left as memories.

Goodbye EQ, it was fun.

Our classic guild (www.theforgottentravelers.com) took down the Ixiblat, Rak (shaman epic mob in CoM), the Chardok Prince and King, and we also completed the Shaman and Enchanter epic.

All of the small amount of time I spent playing EQ this weekend went to levelling my Warrior in Dulak's from 41 to 48...in only 5 runs. It was quite awesome.

My goal is to at least ding 60 before I have to start paying to play. And maybe do one of those major class/race specific quests if there's one available and if there are those willing to help me along the way.
