dual box one computer?Follow

#1 Jun 08 2008 at 4:58 PM Rating: Decent
I'm coming back after years of other mmorpgs...

With EQW I used to be able to dual box on one computer (and my current computer should be more then enough to do it). The trouble is I would like to hotkey on computer to autofollow and cast ect... I was able to do this with EQW...

Ok, so now EQ can be played in a window. Can I do this dual boxing out of the box?

Does EQW still work? (it hasn't been updated in 3 years).

Thanks in advance!

EQW Still works, and as far as I know, is 100% legal according to SoE.

FYI, I dual boxed using EQclient and not a thrid party software. Worked fine. Just make sure you have enough ram and CPU to run them. 2.4Ghz and 2 gigs using vista, windowed at 1280x800 works great for me :D

I run two accounts on one laptop and at pretty much full detail/rez (bit silly as one is just a trader lol). I don't use EQW and don't play in a window - I simply hit the Windows key to bring up the task bar and flick. Clearly, were I to try doing more than trading on account two, then running it in windowed mode would work (have done it and it does).

Can you send command to the second instance? (ie, if you 'y' it will be the first slot action in the second window?)

thanks!

I'd recommend using WinEQ

It sort of took over where EQW left off...and it has a host of options available. Really good stuff. You can just do a google search on win eq
