1) Make sure it is set to run as Admin a) Right click EQ icon on your desktop or applications menu, and select Properties b) Select Compatibility c) Check the following I) "Run this Program in compatibility mode for: A) Windows XP (Service Pack 2) II) Run this program as an administrator. d) Next click "Show settings for all users" I) After allowing menu to open, select everything in step "c" e) Next hit tab Security I) Make sure that YOUR user name is able to have FULL control of playing and accessing game. f) Hit Apply and Ok. 2) Start EQ by right clicking icon and selecting "Run as Administrator" 3) Log in, patch BUT DO NO HIT PLAY! a) Select "Game Options" b) Skip over to the "Engine Settings" (Will be last "Next" until window closes) c) Select "Restore Defaults" (You will only have to suffer with the 800x600 settings for a moment) d) Select Finish 4) Run EQ, it should work now. It did for me, and I did NOT have to make EQ run on one processor or change anything in the eqclient.ini file.
