FRI: Dinged 73 on the Nec. Ground out more xp on the Dru and dinged 56 on the chanter.

SAT: Dinged 57 and almost 58 on the chanter. More grindage on the other 2.

SUN: Spent a good chunk of the day working about the house. When I fanilly had time to log on late in the afternoon my chanter got in a great grp. Fast pulls little downtime until.....my pc kept freezing up. The screen would lock up frozen for 30 sec then I could "play" for 2-5 sec. Finally the system went down. My video card blew up. the capasiters(?) popped open. So I ordered a new one as I didnt have a replacement at the house. I loaded my secondary PC up and dinged 59 on the chanter. ! more level to go till KEI.

Weekend Whine: PEople who get invited to group when they are in the GL and need some one to come get them. A lot of hand holding was done and a verbal walk thru to get then to the camp only to hear about how much better their main is and their raid storys. THe map works wonders....

Ahh...Sir Ros...nice weekend, also must be nice to have a backup comp.Smiley: winkWhen mine blew, it was no eq for a couple of weeks.Smiley: frown

Not much EQ this weekend as we had district track meet, but got new shaman and warrior from 35 to 41, and began epic for shaman. Got to Emerald jungle for the first turn in, and BANG...faction not good enough. Oh well, I ll keep trying.

The new guild on FV is alot of fun, cool people, no pressure, and roleplaying. Been great.

Finished up by loading cleric on Zek up and went to Crypt of Nadox. Was getting nice exp ( 50-50 AA to Regular ) when a 65 Beserker came along and totally whiped me out. MY cleric hadnt been pked in quite awhile ( was 4 & 0 )but this guy really set me up. I was low on health ( 65% ) and mana ( 60% ) and he killed me in under a minute.Smiley: oyvey Went back after rez effects to camp out in C of N, and he was taking on 3 others. The guy was on a 7 kill hot streak.Smiley: eek

That was it for eq. Can't wait to read this thread later to see what others were up to.

FRI: Took my necro to NC to see if I could solo there. Well I can it just takes a while for kills then I have to med. Stayed anyways as 3-4% a kill reg xp was just to good to pass up. Then had a guildie come out thinking faster kills, which is was. Then about 3 more guildies come out and then a couple others join. So we ended up going to the Steppes and trying for an armor mold. Was 14% away from ding when group ended, but I knew I needed to go because wife faction went to crap as late as I stayed up.

SAT: Yep Saturday morning my wife was pissed, but after some smooth talking and me taking her out to breakfast all was good again. We went to one of our friends kids birthday parties. So we ate some hamburger and hot dogs and then went home for a nap. Saturday early evening we were watching the weather hoping that the tornadoes missed us. Luckily they did and went about 10 miles south of us. Still close but they were losing steam so we relaxed. After that I just went to bed, I was tired and didn't want bad wife faction on her first Mothers Day.

SUN: Mothers Day! The baby decided to wake up at 4:30 A.M. She wanted to sleep with us I guess, she did and my wife was pretty happy I think to see both of us in bed with her in the morning. We took her to lunch and shopping for new clothes, then came home and took a nap while I played EQ. I finally leveled my necro to 60 and stayed in NC and got another 50% of a level. So pretty fun weekend minus the tornado scare.

No eq other than being in trader mode.
Friday had PT appointment then went to work. I was at the Lighthouse this time. Fun talking to people as if it was 1861, especially the young kids. I get to confuse them if they dont pay attention.

Sat. Work all day at the Lighthouse. Sat evening I went to my first SF club meet since breaking the leg.
BALTICON 42 is in two weeks. http://bsfs.org Saw my the grandkids at the meeting.

Sun. Work two trolley tours. Very nice tips in the AM tour, not so hot on PM. When I came home the grandkids were over. Elne Clare is working on a costume for granddaughter, with some help from her oldest daughter. Watched parts of Cast Away, and Forest Gump.

No EQ this weekend.

Though I think I may have gotten a bit too much fresh air time.

Friday morning, bowled in the house championship... not so great, oh well there is always next year.

Went home, loaded all the camping gear and picked up a friend who would also be camping. Stopped at the store and got any missing necessities. Then drove out to the campsite on the river. It rained Thursday night about 2 inches or so and was still drizzling a bit while we set everything up. Had a nice fire going, had a few bears and just relaxed till......

2 am - Decide to warm up, throw some wood on the fire and bam, it starts to pour so hard the fire was dead in less than 15 minutes. So off to bed.

Tent was leaking from the heavy rain. Woke up cold and wet.... air mattress sprung a leak and I was on now on the wet floor of the tent.

Saturday - was a large picnic(about 40 folks decided to show), sun came out, played volleyball. Good food and good fun. Went to bed not quite as late.

Sunday - Packed my sore body and gear into the car, drove home, aired out some of the gear. Then the rains came again and I just pretty much crashed in exhaustion.

Hoped to play some tonight.

Fri: Leveled my baby shaman from 55-59 in Riwwi and PoValor and did a Mech Guardian instance on my beastlord. Kept dying every time I would pop Lesson or an exp pot, so just gave up after a few hours.

Sat: Not enough people showed up for our Deathknell raid, so we took out a few aug events in FC1 instead. Got a new bracer for the BST and a few AAs on the shaman. Still trying to find the golems up for his Child's Tear, as it's the only thing left to do for his 1.0

Sun: Not much EQ. Grouped with the guild on the BST in Illsalin for a bit and knocked off a few defensive AAs, then it was off to my fiance's place for Mother's Day. Awkward evening, to say the least.

Yenwangweh: What guild are you in on FV? Both my shaman and BST are happily residing on that server. Look up Jurrel and Tallinu if you ever need any help. :)

Due to personal circumstances my EQ play time has recently been drastically reduced (to literally 10% of what I used to play) but I'm happy to say I was able to get a few hours in over the weekend.

Leveled my enchanter from 47 to 51 and finally started earning AAs. First purchases, Run1, 2 and 3. Yee haw. Groups in Nadox seem to be abundant so that is definitely my zone of choice. Incidentally, I had planned to earn about 100 AAs at 51 before leveling further until I looked up which AAs you can actually purchase at 51 and realized there are almost none. So the plan has changed to level to 60 (for sweet, sweet KEI) and then crank out the AAs. Boxing with my 68 mage in NC has been great for xp but I'm not so much a fan of boxing, so that is usually a last resort (or if I'm feeling anti-social).

My mage continues to rack up the AAs. With my pet and my AAs now (just over 200) I can solo sand top in BoT. During lesson I am earning over 3.5 AAs. I just have to be careful on some of the pulls, and be ready to chain nuke should we accidentally get two. In fact, Pyrilen Skin is a lifesaver in overpulls and I've only died once on a two-pull so far at that camp.

I spent much of my weekend on the slow grind to 75. Since I don't have SoF that means I'm now max level. Umm, yay?

Just an FYI, you might seriously also check that all your fans are operating correctly, and that your PS is ok (might want to replace it anyway). Cards don't blow up like that all by themselves. If the capacitors (or the caps over them actually) on the card were actually melted, this either means your system massively overheated, or you got a really bad short. It's possible for the problem to just be in that one card all by itself, but it can't hurt to make sure the fans are working. Your video card will likely be the first thing to go if your system gets hot.

Also, a PS is cheap compared to a video card. Can't hurt to replace it just for GP...

Managed to get 71 and 72 on the beast, although the power was out for 8-10 hours on Sunday. Also got 5 or so AA's soloing in PoFire.

Hope everyone had a happy Mother's Day.

55 can be a fun level to sit on a chanter and do AA (many good level 55 aas) if it suits your playstyle. For example, many old-school places with gentle hitting mobs are still good xp (so safer charm-soloing if that is your thing). What makes 55 work even better is if the PoP ornate silk pants are cheap on your server... clicky tranquility is extremely nice at that level.

I only lasted 19aa at 55 on my chanter, but that was because my regular group is trying to level into a consistent level range (and the ceiling of 70 was already established by other characters).

Since better buffs stick at level 61 I would get that one extra level if you are planning on sitting. I was given that advice for my necro and it was brilliant.

---

Friday- rolled another warrior alt and got it to level 12. Odd part is I refused to roll the class the first 5 years I played the game.

Saturday- all RL stuff visiting friends and driving all over the countryside for errands.

Sunday- did a short Plane of Mischief hunt and slayed the dreaded bunny behemoth.

Had a little playtime on Thursday, switched to 100% normal exp when I realized that all other members of my group were a lvl above me. We did a relatively easy DoN and tried a harder one afterwards, but single pulling was nearly impossible. After our Necro had died twice trying to pull, we left for a Grobb MM. When the others left, the Druid and me burned through our lesson in Nadox. First pull was a triple, but we fought them down (although oom and low on life). Got over 90% towards lvl 62 that evening, just a few kills next time to lvl 62!

Fri-Mon: Long weekend, drove home for mothers day and to prepare my wedding in August.

BBot one of the nice visitors at the Lighthouse on Saturday was a young student and her mother. They were from Austria. I hope they come back up for the trolley tour as they were very interested in the Civil War.
Just mentioning it to pad my post count. Can't let elne get too close.
