Disese DoTs stopped mobs from regening their HPs. Surprised no one has mentioned that one yet.

The biggest Urban Legend in EQ is that SOE actually has a Quality Control department with knowledgeable people that really test for bugs.

There are multiple mobs on the same spawn table in most outdoor zones. So killing a roaming mob would cause another roaming mob to spawn, but not necessarily the same type of mob.

I have no clue what was actually on which table, but it does seem reasonable that griffins did share a table with potentially multiple other mobs. It does seem reasonable that griffins, wisps, and bixies might all be on the same table (but note that not all of them spawn in the same zone though!).

What was probably more of a made-up myth was that lions and such shared a spawn table with griffins. I'd wager that all the calls to "don't attack the lions cause they'll spawn griffins" were attempts to get other people to not attack the mobs that dropped what was by far the most valuable roaming mob drop in that level range in the game at the time. I'm also pretty sure everyone basically ignored them anyway... ;)

That killing a certain orc pawn (claimed to be a placeholder) in Greater Faydark would cause Faelin Bloodbriar (rng/dru epic npc) to spawn in it's place.

Faelin Bloodbriar will spawn and despawn on her own roughly once per half hour regardless of any player actions.

I've done that part of the Ranger/Druid Epic
twice (once for me, and once for a friend)
and I would have to say you're probably right.
I slaughtered every Orc Pawn I could find and
it didn't seem to make any difference at all.
The very first time I saw her on track I zoned in
and I was looking for her but she poofed before
I could find her. Either there is no PH or
it got killed by a guard. I don't think she
really does have a PH.

Yeah, not really to be honest lol.

Ofcourse, if a player just begins to play and several higher levels say not to kill the lions or a very dangerous mob is going to spawn, I did believe them at the time.

Ofcourse, that was back in the days that there were people in the Commonlands.
