Tribute values questionFollow

I understand no trade items can't be turned in for tribute points. Are all items with an effect worth nothing as well ? I tried to turn in the beasty ear from WoS with the + cold dmg focus. She laughed at me and said No Thank You !

Thanks

Tribute values are heavily updated/nerfed and are set by the devs based on what prices in bazaar are doing from what I can tell. As soon as something becomes popular for tribute and ppl are making or getting it for tribute then it quickly gets the tribute value nerfed to 20% of what it was.

Occasionally its only nerfed down to 40% but 20 is more regular. Example: things I regularly farmed tributed for 25000 and now are 8000, another thing I did regularly was for 2600 but is now 1100. There was a belt I regularly got that netted me 12000 but is now 1100 due to an overnight stealth nerf.

Next on the chopping block was 3 items a friend of mine regularly got from Nurga to keep our guild tribute full. Those things were knocked down to 30% of value with no notice and not on any patch day.

So to answer your question,
Only things that are attunable or tradeable can be used for tribute.
Only things that have some sort of value in bazaar can be used as tribute.
Only things that the devs feel you should be able to tribute can be used for tribute.
And only things that the devs feel ppl will want to keep can be used for tribute.

You have to keep in mind that tribute was only created as a carrot for us to thin the economy, it wasnt created because the devs thought we needed more bonuses in order to play effectively. That is why when things get farmed for tribute, and it goes against the core intent of tribute, that those things get nerfed at the first chance.
