Returning player gear questions (65) and Paladin infoFollow

I've been purchasing what GM armor I can in the bazaar and augmenting it with symbols. What im looking for is a decent charm and maybe "show" pieces that are soloable but will be improvements over what I have currently.

At lvl 65 with 60 or so AAs, I have about 6300hp unbuffed and 1560 or so AC. Most people tell me that is a bit low for much outside PoP so im looking to upgrade as much as possible before I get into a guild for anything outside of PoP raiding (actually Id love to raid PoP, but it seems few guilds on the rathe do that anymore :p)

My charm slot is the PoP idol with my adventure stone. The stats are pretty bad; about 4 ac 30 hp and 4 to each stat. Other charms I see in the bazaar are daytime active and that seems almost useless to me.

My head, one wrist, and boot are Jayla's armor from BoT quest. These pieces could be upgraded to GM armor but Im looking for a bit more AC that GM gear gives.

If you are curious about other gear im working with you can check out cactuszach on the rathe on eqplayers. Basically my goal is to get as close to 10k unbuffed and 1.8k ac before I do any raiding. I dislike being useless for the content people do now-a-days :p

Also on a side note, are there any resourses for Paladin discussion? Seems casters realm only has 1 guide and a spell list and most sites dont offer any specific pally info.

For fast and easy, albeit somewhat pricey upgrades, look into dwerium jewelry with taaffeite augments and cultural armor. I am level 68 pally with 250 AAs. My unbuffed HP is 10,000 and my AC is 2000. I do not wear any raid gear.

Check out my Magelo for specifics:

As for your charm, I recommend the Serpent Seeker's Charm of Lore. I'm really behind on mine and need to do some catching up on it.

Feel free to PM me anytime also.

Thanks for the tips, ill definately look into these. I bought a dwerium trio necklace and have it auged and really like the stats on it. One ring and one earring could be upgraded to these.

Charm looks nice too, seems like a lot of the items to upgrade it are soloable.

"At lvl 65 with 60 or so AAs"

My best advice is to put 100% to exp and get to lvl 70 at least. There you can wear the elaborate cultural armor with the exalted symbol augs. For the charm slot here is what you do:
charm: DON vendor - Defenders battle tested pin 165 crystals
slot7: Wanderlust charm aug
slot9: Slipgear charm aug

That will get you a decent charm without requiring much more than some time spent solo.

If you enjoy doing DON missions, you may end up spending enough time to get the 450/680 slot 12 augs for your 8 armor pcs but I wouldnt worry about it since its not such a good aug.

IF you cant afford to just buy all the cultural armor and racial symbols, then if you have some tradeskilling skills, the quest for the exalted symbols is not too bad to handle. Again you will need to be at least lvl 70 to do it though.

Also, with SoF release there are a ton of droppable non-visible armor slot upgrades that coincidentally are either req65/rec75, or req75/rec80. You can buy most of the first group for anywhere from 5k to 50k and they are likely *huge* upgrades to whatever other stuff you've likely got in terms of neck, shoulders, waist, back, ranged, etc...

You may get more bang for the buck initially upgrading those slots then upgrading the main visible armor pieces you've got. I know that I did. I went from about the same as you when I left (during OoW), to about 11k, 2100AC. Doing *nothing* but finishing off a couple OoW armor quests, and upgrading those non-visible slots.
