EQ blow up?Follow

I was just logged in to EQ, and everything crashed. Looks like servers are down for connection... but so is the EQ Live forums. It's like SOE lost their internet connection or something :(

They might have gotten the same treatment this site got yesterday. I present the fact that the EQ2 servers are down too. Might be related (something happen to the server farms in San Dog?). The localized servers are up (Antonious Bayle, for example) but the US based ones are down.

Yup, servers went boom. On the network status page the only server shown up is Antonius Bayle. Maybe it's EQ's turn for the DDoS attack. =)

Conspiracy theory: SoE has been going after the hackers and spammers lately. This could be their revenge. The Alla DOS attack yesterday could have been a prelued to an all out attack on the EQ servers today. It certainly fits but this is just a guess.

Hampsters must've died.

Servers should be back up as soon as the SOE intern can get to the pet store and buy some new ones.

Unfortunately, I think it's worse than dead hampsters this time.

Pet store refuses to sell any more hamsters to Sony on the grounds that the previous ones died.

I wonder why EQPlayers is still up?

Looks like the patch server is still up too.

EQ Players may be up....but the forums there are down. There is a brief note on EQ Players stating that they have network issues.

EQplayers MIGHT still be up, problem is, though I can access the network status without logging in, I have not been able to use the log in itself.

EQPlayers lists the problem as a network issue, and all Sony games and services are kaput. Not even the forums are available. Time to go get some sun I guess.

It snowed yesterday around where I live and there's still a nice thick coat on the ground with no sun in sight to melt anything.

/sigh

I was really hoping to get some tasks done before raids tonight.

Station Launchpad is unable to connect to the server, please try again. Having trouble getting onto any EQ forums or games, and had trouble getting into Alla. Anyone else having these troubles?

Alla was down this morning, but I can get on it now. I have tried to log in to EQ, but last night the server was acting funny. Huge lag spikes.
