Shaman / Mage duo ...opinionsFollow

just curious, I am returning to the game, and I think this is the duo I would like to play with my wife....

just looking for feedback, my wife wants to play something with a pet, and I have been wanting a shaman for years.....

how will this duo be for xping 0-80 and farming cash/loot?

Shaman/mage is a good combo, if I remember correctly. You shouldn't have much trouble playing those.

I've duoed most of my way through the game, and one of the combos was mage/shammy. It worked pretty well I think. My pet was the tank, and got buffed up quite nicely by my friend. Only trouble we ever ran into was with adds - no CC, except for off-rooting. I remember it being fun. Not sure of the loot getting part, though. But it was a lot of fun.

Basically, as someone stated somewhere on these boards, any combo works - you just have to come up with the right strategy - but some combos are better than others. If you both like those characters, you'll enjoy it.

Not sure about the importance of AA's to mages, but if you do go with this combo the shammy will need to stop and get some AA's to be effective post 65.
