hiya folks. Probably a dumb question, but does it make a diff to give my kitty weapons and armor etc... IM A 73 BST . ( I SHOULD KNOW THIS BY NOw BUT IVE BEEN OFFLINne for awhile ). 2nd, does it matter if its old rusty weapons, or so they need to be Good or summoned ones. thanks guys ven

The pet damage from weapons is twice the displayed damage on the weapon you give him. So unless your pet's maximum hit is less than twice the weapon damage, don't worry about it. Unless, of course, you are going for the ever-so-useful proc. Give him two of the summoned pet weapons and you'll be good to go.

As for armor - Unless you get the summoned pet armor, there really is no need to bother at that level. Although, picking up the pet haste mask and stat belt is definitely recommended.

iirc you also need to factor in the damage bonus. I remember reading it on the Magicians Tower a while back, but seem not able to find the link...

"When a pet uses a weapon it's max hit is double the weapon's damage value + its damage bonus. "
