Level 70 Necro - Where should I solo?Follow

I'm a level 70 Drakkin Necromancer. I like to think I'm pretty good at soloing. I have just over 7k hp and 9k mana. Where should I go to solo the rest of the way to 80?

Just a bit more background information. I have 13 expansions (don't have the newest one, so don't suggest those zones please). The last time I played seriously was Omens of War. Anything after Omens I'm completely clueless on. So, if you are going to suggest a zone for me after OoW, please describe how to get to it or at least give me a full zone name (its a pain to see abbreviations that I don't understand).

To get to 70, I did the hotzone crawl. I'm now seriously sick of Halls of Honor. So, any suggestions on where to go next would be appreciated. Thanks.

I only tinker around on a friend's necro when bored so I'm not the most experienced with the whole scope of high level necroness. My favorite place to go is usually Icefall in the TSS expansion. (PoK > Blightfire > Gorukar > Steppes > Icefall.)

The spider camp there seems to be a general favorite. The bears there are involved in a great bracer quest if you don't have better than those. I've also kited the Dire wolves near the Valdenholm zoneline some as well.

The spiders seemed to offer the easiest kills vs. exp of the bunch, compared to other mobs I've kited in Icefall. Best I can explain on getting to the camp is to go to your right on zoning in from the Steppes and head for the thin ravine (I hope you have your maps) you see on the map of the zone, once through it theres another cliff you run up to get to the spiders area.

The bears can be a bit more hassle as they move pretty fast and a broken/worn off snare can be a messy situation. They also seemed to have more HP than the spiders, to me at least. Also where you choose to kite them (too much for me to go into explaining here.) can be dangerous thanks to adds on pulls or adds while kiting. There is also one Adult cave bear that seems to warp/roam around the zone and can pop up right on you at the very worst of times, be wary of it wherever you are. Don't get me wrong though, they are at least worth it for those bracers if they are an upgrade, and the faction from the quests being done twice should be enough to also let you get the quest for Battered Shield of the Fallen Guard

As for the wolves, they usually come with friends on pulls. This area as a whole, as well as parts of the area around the bears can also be highly dangerous when the TSS Breastplate Mold named is up and roaming the zone back and forth.

It's been a very long time since I leveled at 70. However the Effreetis in Jewel are very good XP. I kited a friends alt through those levels to 75 in that area. They are very easy to kite along the zone walls and if a name pops it doesn't summon you can kite it as well.

To get to Jewel go to Katta take the south path through the doors and it is on the outer ring first portal. Your map should say Jewel on it. Once you zone in go through the left tunnel passage and out the gate. The Efreeti's are the temples along the left zone wall all the way to the gyzer.

You should stay in katta kastrum for a few levels. Find out where a place called the green house is located there, this will be your home for a few levels. Mobs are yellow and red at 70 and doesnt summon. There are 2 tasks you can work while there for faction. One is called herb retrievel and the other is called the serpent slayer. These tasks are fast and easy to complete and will earn you faction and xp while there.

Once you have found the place and gotten the tasks, bind yourself on top of the hill infront of the greenhouse, no mobs come there. Then when you need to get a task update, use levant and you are teleported near both the npcs for the tasks. Then when you got the updates, just gate back and continue (saves a lot of runnig.

I'll second all of the above suggestions. Might add The Buried Sea, as there are several kite-able spots there.

Great advice on the Tash cures, and if the OP has access to a shaman at all, the tash curing pots are cheap and easy to make yourself if you like. Distillate of Antidote I

Good idea depending on the server. I took my Necro there and the first few tiem were great. The last several time didnt go so well. As of a few weeks ago this spot is heavly camped on Stromm. After heading there and dealing with folk regressing to their childhood in determining camps I gave up and went else where. Life is too short to argue with idiots.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I'll be trying a couple new zones this weekend most likely.
