Tanking ClericFollow

Hello all, I have a 67 Cleric with 129 AA's and built for tanking. Defensive, Persistant casting, max extension, healing boon, crit healing, etc. I am wanting to start leveling again and want to know of any decent regular exp spots that a cleric can solo or duo with a 65 warrior. I am looking for "off the beaten path" type places. Hot zones are great, but often get overrun.

Thanks for you help!

I would think that at that level you could solo very well in Veksar still...alot of undead, which is great,and you should be able to tank...not sure about the level though. My 60 cleric has been there for quite awhile, and I still find yellow and red mobs, so ...

WOS murk caves are undead, Unrest instance is all undead but you will need a 3rd player to join you to get the mission, then he can leave, Natimbi has a undead camp near the magus.

Keep in mind that a cleric is not a tank no matter what you "built" him for. If you are duoing or soloing then great but in any group setting, the moment you miss ia heal and wipe the group, welcome to 5 peoples /ignore list.

Have you looked into The Buried Sea zone at Monkey Rock island SE part of zone ? The undead there looked to be 64 to 66ish. Since its still a fairly new expansion xp should be good there.

For the age-old cleric can tank / I want to be a battle cleric debate see:

I like well-rounded characters (and players behind them) that can adapt as needed to unexpected situations. Back in the day on my cleric I would melee if the group was uber, if the group was less so I would nuke, most of the time I would sit and heal. As a result my skills were high and I was versatile. However, I was really only valued for my core skill --healing (and buffs).

Now (or still I suppose) when making a group I prefer a tank that can not only take the hits but hold the aggro and taunt it off if needed. In an efficient group with a close level range killing mobs at their level that would seldom be the cleric.

OK, but the OP wasnt saying he was tanking with his group...Smiley: banghead

Clerics, like all other classes, can ( and like to ) solo, and the OP was asking where he might be able to do this...or maybe two box with a warrior.

Most clerics know when to tank and when not toSmiley: dubious

I linked the two forums because it seems whenever a cleric mentions the word tank in a thread it turns into that discussion.

By the end of the two forums, (most) people eventually concede that reverse DS, heal procs, plate armor, AAs, high skills and player skill allow a cleric to solo to high levels by tanking mobs.

Chanters can rune tank, necros can tap tank sure... the OP started with the "built to tank" line which usually (or at least used to) riles up the tank-class purists.

Snail;
Those links were good, was mainly referring to Cilrail...I know clerics can solo and tank, and was restating that the OP wanted to know zones were he could do this.

Thanks guys for the replies. I do need to clarify that I am not interested in tanking for a group, solo tanking for AA and reg exp when groups are slim is the area of interest. I will check some of the zones listed.
