I am finally completing my shaman's 2.0, and want to set up back to back raids for the epic version of the Murkglider School Leader and Discordling Spiritcaller. I have the phase spider thoraxes, and the Glowing Trace of Might.

My question is, do i have to do the Murkglider School Leader before the Bloated Griplan will spawn? I spent 6 hours clearing that room, and keeping it clear and never saw him.

Check the forums over at Samanna's. I'm sure you can find the answer easily enough there, and also serves as a great reference tool for many other aspects of the game.

To my experience with 1.5/2.0 quests, anytime that you have a step in the quest where there is a container that you need to fill with "ingredients", the general rule is to have the container on you to trigger the spawn. Another thing to maybe hold on your person is any other piece of quest loot that is leftover from a previous step. Of course this isn't always the case, and by no means guarantees that you can trigger it, but the way I see it: it couldn't hurt.

Also, you generally can complete the steps for the individual ingredients for the combine in any order you like. Some classes' quests this is also not true, but there are a lot of steps between all 1.5/2.0 where there are combines involved where it is true

Anyways, check Samanna's for the best Shaman info, and good luck on your quest.

No, you can do these out of order for the shammy epic. The Bloated Girplan can have an insane spawn time. Some people have spent well over 30+ hours getting it to spawn. I myself spent 8 hours in RCOD with a guildy and we never got a spawn. I belive he took another 4 hours the next day to finially get the kill.

Check out the posts at Samanna's (link in post above) for lots of details. And good luck! Tell us how it works out.

Thank you for all the help, i thought i would be able to do this, but yea, already spent a ton of hours(ok, for me 6 hours is a ton) there trying to get it to spawn, to no avail, and, well, i guess i will spend a ton more, lol.

I will let you know how it goes.

By the way, wanted to let you know. i got my 2.0. Funny in how it happened, if you wanna read a story.

In the morning before going to work, i logged in to see if he was up. He was, and yes, i was late for work.

I hollered for my wife to come down, figured we could get it, Shaman, boxing wizard, Paladin boxing Cleric. FYI we are in a casual raiding guild, that has just been in CoA for about 2 months. that means we are not highly geared.

To top it off, the cleric is a new box and way undergeared and a low mana pool to boot at this point, but we tried. Pally clears all the adds, and we med up and get ready for the named.

FYI Bloated Girplan has an ungodly number of HP's and we did not realize this when we started, fortunately we had popped the HP campfire just in case.

Now, not realizing how this would go, i had the shaman doing quick heals(in addition to usual stuff), and cleric doing CH's and group heals as needed, wizard nuking and Paladin keeping it otherwise occopuied and emergency healing. We were doing fine until we realized that the clerics mana was dropping faster than the Girplans HP. Not a good start. So the shaman, in additions to the panther on pally and pet and quick heals, added Dots, which further depleted the shaman's mana.

Great, gonna lose this in addition to being late for work now.

Ever hear of the calvary showing up at the last minute? i was just about to evac us when i see a /fs What you all doing on at this time of the morning?

My response was simple, take campfire and HELP.

45 seconds later pops in a 80ish level beastlord and pet and it was just enough DPS to take him out, plus he had a spell to help the cleric recover mana faster, so we all made it, all OOM, no one above 50% health, and the Bloated Girplan deaded.

I loot the shaman piece, and a chest spawned. I had not noticed that this was considered a raid mob(so much for being prepared) much less one of the ones hard enough to spawn a chest. In the chest was a https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=31651 so the undergeared cleric gets a freebie, to be a little less undergeared.

So yea, we popped him with a casual raiding group of 76th Paladin, Shaman, Wizard, 80th level Beastlord, and 71 Cleric.

I could not tell you what happened at work that day, but i was a happy camper all day.

Thanks Guys, now we just need to epic the Wizard and Cleric. For some reason i am thinking this will not be as hard, just time consuming.

Gratz on the shammy 2.0.The toughest part of cleric 2.0 will be the timorous deep dragon. This encounter was very challenging for our guild at first. It may not be now as the gear has greatly improved but you will still need a full guild raid and a strategy.

Kiting the dragon when the adds pop seems to be a good strat.Bring dragon back when adds are dead.rinse and repeat.
