When you have an arrow whose range is 100 shot from a bow whose range is 200, How far does the arrow go?

300 on both. Bow Range + Arrow Range = Total Range. Bow Damage + Arrow Damage = Total Damage. Bow Delay = Delay (Quiver giving appears to me Wt Red / 3 Over-haste on Archery only, but some clame a specific delay reduction).

On the topic of archery . . .

how do I get or make my own arrows? I just started skill ups a few days ago and don't know where to get more arrows.

Easiest way to help you is to suggest going to eqtraders.com. Then look up fletching. There is very good breakdown of the skill there, plus what to make as you progress.

You can usually find decent arrows in the baz for cheap. At least you could once.

They're pretty easy to make though.

To make arrows you find a fletching merchant. You buy the components and combine them in a fletching kit. For more details go to eqtraders as was suggested above.

Haste on a quiver is equal to 1/3 its weight reduction. So a tailored quiver adds 11 percent haste on archery rate of fire.
Never thought as to will this stack with another haste item.

Arrows = Fletching Yes, another tradeskill.

Good news is it's super easy to get to the 200's.... and doesn't cost much... and there are some great arrows that can be made with vendor purchased items at that level.

The one I usually make is CLASS 6 Steel Silver Tip Arrow (small nock) (trivial 202). Has good range of 100 and a good dmg of 8 which is fine for what I use a bow for.

Thank you very much for this thread! All this time I thought the more restrictive range won.

I also agree that the "CLASS 6 Steel Silver Tip Arrow (small nock) (trivial 202)" are a very efficient to make - relatively cheap and unlimited supplies are available.

As long as we're on the subject, my warrior has also hit the 202 ceiling with those arrows. Are there any arrows higher than 202 trivial that are still relatively efficient for a non-Karana/non-Tunare warrior to make? I'm not worried so much about damange/range, but if it means spending endless hours farming just to make a few arrows, or dropping ten's of thousands in the bazaar, I'll stick with the steel silver tipped arrows. But I'm hoping someone can recommend a decent upgrade path.

Not really. Getting further will require a lot of farming or spending a lot in the bazaar (assuming you can even find what you need).

Soon you will want to make the longest range arrows and use the longest range bow you can find.

It has been an archery quirk for the past 8 years that I have been playing that if you shoot something farther out than aggro range, its stays out of aggro range and you can kill it and get the exp. If it passes social aggro and something else roams near you, you get aggro from both and need to run/gate or something.

I see rangers doing this all the time while soloing and LFG or whatnot. Just sitting there at 400 range peppering some blue on a distant hillside which apparently doesnt know who is shooting it until it dies.

Pretty slow exp and I suppose its not really worth the time, but it beats sitting LFG in the guild lobby or POK or somewhere doing nothing. Just be sure to bring a zillion long range arrows until you get a summoning item or the arrow AA. Even the smallnock-parabolicfletch-woodshaft-fieldpoint ones work fine, but the small dmg will take forever to kill something.

I confirmed this still works a couple weeks ago, because half the time I go to pull something with my 39 ranger, the mob gets tagged but keeps wandering and I have to go chase after it until I get within aggro range before it comes to me to kill.
