SAT: More or the AA grind and some time in another game.

SUN: Maxed out Crit Aff for a level 65 on the druid and started on SCM. Got CA 1 on the Nec. Played another games toon to 60.

Bah, you beat me by some minutes rosleck! :-)

Thu: DoN group mission, we shrouded down to get a lower average mob level. It was quite fun, although the reward was not that satisfying (15 crystals). Got another AA, spent it for Spell Casting Reinforcement rk.I and promptly got the new AA Archetype titles! :-)

Fri: Not much EQ, did some low lvl tasks (Barrenzin) just to get them out of the task window.

Sat: Some more tasks. Finally killed Fantoma in the Mesa! I have waited forever to get him to spawn again (hadn't seen him since I got the task from Madu, more than half a year ago). Got my jewelcraft from 51 up to approx. 130. Had a first look into Droga and promptly died when I got 4 adds. A kind Cleric gave me a 98% rez for free! :-)

Sun: No EQ, just had a look at the AAs and can't decide what to work on next...

We're getting some raids back up and going, but they've all been full-o-phail. Smiley: tongue

Our saturday night alliance raid, after a rash of LD's, finally got into the MPG raid trial. We were close but wiped on the last wave. I messed up, as I was sitting when the last wave popped. I got immediate agro and died. Pisses me off when I do stuff like that as I know better.

Sunday open Doom raid we attempted Yar Li, yet again. Got her down to 9%. It was a lot of fun, but frustrating. I was last healer up and completely OOM when the beast was at about 12%. I helplessy watched the MT die while trying to will the timer on my mod rod to go faster. It was pretty entertaining though, watching Yar pick off toons one by one, leaving them a crumpled pile after the tanks were all dead.Smiley: clown (YAR dies next Sunday)

That was the bulk of my EQ weekend. I jumped on late last night and got a really quick DoN mission in.

First time posting in this thread, so I hope anyone can play. Hope you enjoy my ramblings.

Thursday - One quick run of the Udengar the Traitor progression raid to flag a few more folks so we can start raiding Frostcrypt. /cheer We win! So off to Frostcrypt we go for our first FC raid. Unfortunately, I'm one of the ones who do not have the group missions done for the flag. So I waited till there was enough flagshares. Clear some trash. Clear more trash. I'm zoning to POK? WTH?!? One of the flagged people went LD and I was kicked.... from Frostcrypt to POK! Run to the guild hall, banner back to outside of FC. LD person is back so I say the magic words and poof... inside Frostcrypt for our first attempt on a FC raid, The Three Brothers. I get to tank Thuruld. Joy. He hits around ~4,300, single-target rampages, and enrages. Hope my healers have forgiven me for those nasty tells I sent. /shrug The brothers have a few tricks up their sleeves but in the end.... they all die. Well, die again since they are undead. And I lived too! Only time it was close was when I was -114hp. Sure glad I got those AA's.

Friday - Go out for dinner with a friend. Get home with no real desire to play EQ atm. Instead, I set up the new G15 while leaving the microsoft natural plugged in, which I'm happy to report works! Two keyboards at once! HA! Play with a few macro's. Decide I was once a Master Beggar before the limits were raised. Time to become one again. Find a NPC and beg, beg, beg..........

Saturday - ... beg, beg, beg... 12 hours in, about 30 points left to go. Go to work for 4 hours. Come home. Work out in the garage for 6 hours. Check PC .... beg, beg, beg.... 10 more to go. Go to dinner and a movie with same friend from Friday. Come home, check PC.... beg, beg, beg.... but beg is max! Woot. Turn off macro, log. Play in an online poker tournament till 3am. Go to bed.

Sunday - Sleep, sweet sleep. Sleep till noon. Hmmmmm a good football game is on.... EQ? Football? Football. Oops... wife reminds me I have an unfinished quest from Sat. Turns out the "Clean the garage" quest has a final step of "Put the bike together that's been in a box for 3 years!" Ok, so off we go and put the bike together. Fill the tires on hers and mine. Ride the bike up and down the alley twice. Seems like enough. Park bikes back in garage and go watch the end of the early football game and watch the later football game. To my wife's disgust, the Cowboys lose, which is important to her since she's from Dallas.

Oh yeah, this is an EQ update.

Well, raid time it is! We decide to try our first full blown SoF target, Wirlem The Phantom of the Festival. Not much information out there on him so it's learning time! Charge! .... Wipe. /dust off ... Charge! ..... Wipe. /dust off /ponder ... Charge! ........ Wipe. /dust off /ponder /nerves ... Charge! .............. Wipe. /dust off /angry /adjust /focus ... Charge! ................. WIN! I end up tanking the last 20% with only a few of 5k hits but most are 3k while I use Final Stand. Drops some nice loot for the casters. We should be able to repeat with out wipes now that we know what we want to do.

Enough EQ for the night so it's time for a late night snack while watching Terminator, The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Not bad. Might actually set up the DVR to record the series.

Fri: Had a raid on PoTactics with the guild alliance resulting in Tallon and Vallon dead but not enough dps to get to Rallos. While goofing off before the raid I learned I can solo the little Diaku. Hurray for another place to solo AA xp and ore and unlike PoHate the mobs aren't all flagged with that stupid five minute timer. Oh and half of them aren't clerics.

Sat: There was a raid but I didn't attend as I spent the day working on my Serpent Seeker's charm. I died once in the mesa to a potameid swarm but it was otherwise uneventful.

Sun: Very long day on EQ. First I soloed a bit in Tactics before getting a group in HoH. Got the aug from there so I never have to go back. Then there was an evening raid for Katta faction. Finished off my 200th AA and got about 15% regular xp towards 72 thanks to task rewards. After the raid I joined a guild group doing Stone Tongue of Atelaka for more faction. Got up to the third fragment when the mage had to log. Then we got a dud chest and popped a golem extremely resistant to poison/disease meaning the war/clr/sk/sk/necro dps was totally ruined. Cleric surived the wipe at 8%, we dropped the mage, picked up a druid, and the necro logged to his ranger. Went back and killed the golem but it was still a very long fight and the war ended up dying at the last second. Got the last fragment and the other sk turned everything in before the druid ported us out. No way we were killing that last golem.

/cry still only apprehensive faction

Yes, anyone can post in the weekend update. Even if its not about what you did in game.

FRI SAT SUN. Still in restricted mode due to broken leg. Some play of druid in DS looking for the aug drop. Mostly buy and sell on traders.
Just cant sit still long enough to try any serious play.
So I read, watched lots of Turner Classic Movies, slept and took lots of pills.

Yeah, I was a bit surprised with that drop. Think I was around 69 when I did it and still needed to call on a couple BL friends to help me clear mobs.

I could not clear enough mobs solo to get into the pool unmolested. The respawn timers + roamers + large assist radii + healers was just too much. In the end I invised, went down to the rock, and waited for the server tick with /open at the ready. Hit enter and my Death Peace hotkey simultaneously. Then I targeted and readied /loot for when I stood at the next server tick. Once it was looted I had aggro. With a click of harmshield I was off barreling to the Steppes as fast as possible.

The only other minor problem was in the centaur village. I was wandering around invised looking for the box when I got hit by the shade's AE. Since it keeps spamming that bloody thing wherever it goes you can't FD near it. I had to run well away to clear aggro then returned, cleared out enough centaurs to fight the shade one-on-one and killed it. That turned the village to indifferent.
