Slot 2 Type 3 ???Follow

got this item off strawshanks a few days ago and saw the aug slot that says slot 2 type 3 (General: Spell Effect)

curious as to what this means...

anyone got info??


ps. the (General: Spell Effect) line is only visible in game it seems.

The devs have said in posts at the SOE forums that they plan on putting in type 3 augs which will be vendor sold like the weapon augs in the starting cities (maybe even on these same vendors) and these type 3 augs would include Focus Effects. No other details as to what FE would be on augs or what levels the FE go to, or if other things besides FE would be included like spell effects as the slot description states. Sometime in 2008, probably first half, is the only hint as to when.

I believe the devs intend to use this as a vehicle to minimize the whining about lost FE when upgrading gear or when expansions come out, by providing alternative sources of FE.

If they do go up to the level 80 focus effects I would expect those to be very expensive.
