I'm doing this quest, but I'm concerned. I did the Initiate Quest twice and I didn't get Initiate symbol, so I assumed I couldn't get it. However, if I can't get that can I still get Disciple symbol? If not, how do I complete this quest? It says on here I need the Disciple symbol to complete quest, that's gonna be a problem if I can't get it.

I'm a Troll Shaman, and my faction is good enough to complete the quest. I almost have it done, I just haven't turned in items because I'm worried Sony may have broken the questline, because I'm supposed to give guy Disciple symbol as well, but I can't get it because the guy won't give me my initiate symbol. Are the symbols 100% necessary?

Ok, well, short is answer is no, it won't work. You get nothing for turning in those things without the Disciple Symbol, and since you can't get Initiate Symbl, you can't get the Disciple Symbol. I reported these quests as a bug like a week ago, and surprise surprise, nothing was done about it.

to make him a troll for that reason alone.

Just to verify. Your troll does worship Inny and not Cazic Thule.
Work on faction untill you get the symbol. Remove quest and start over if you need to. You can actually have all 3 symbols by doing them over again. Get the last, then get the second and then get the first. A nice giggle for lower levels.
As far as snare, its nice and helps us kite multi mobs, but root rot is just about as good.
