Ok, so we've all been through the Lagging Plains once or twice now, lotsa people slowing it, but a lot seem to think it's the were-orc transformations slowing comps down.

I notice this in groups inside Bloodmoon as well. I also notice this when I get aggro anywhere, and when mobs die, the is a definite lag situation. I've tonnes of free ram, CPU only running 80% capacity...any ideas?

Havent been there myself, but seen watched over a friend's shoulder as they ran through the zone on a computer that normally handles new zones like a champ. It was painful to even see.

It's not you. It's not your PC. When The Serpents Spine was released, Icefall Glacier was a laggy mess too. The zones in SoF have not been optimized yet.

You can always try and disable your journal. That helped a bit for me if i remember correctly. The journal updates every time you kill a mob, and there could be a bit of lag associated with the proces.

Good luck

I know when I was kiting the Wereorcs yesterday, the only time I lagged at all was when they transformed.

had a feeling it was something text based, gonna try the journal

edit - INSTANT improvement!!!! I checked and my journal was almost 1mb, it must have been trying to parse this every transformation and every kill! Thanks!!!

How do I do this?

Default is ALT+J to bring up the Journal window. There's a button in the upper left corner to uncheck to disable the journal, unless you use a custom UI.

Journal? Is that the quest log or am i missing something? I can't seem to find the check box.

The Quest Journal is ALT+Q, for Tasks and Monster Missions.

Your Expedition window is ALT+Z, for instanced zones where you can add/remove players.

Your Adventure window is ALT+V, for LDoNs.

ALT+J opens a window labeled NPC Journal Window. This keeps tabs on everything that every NPC you have interacted with has said. It's handy for various reasons sometimes, but the log file it writes to can get cumbersome.
