My EQ weekend: Dinged 74. Had some fun doing an exploratory crawl through Vergalid Mines. Successfully charmed a Mammoth in Icefall for the first time. Were unsuccessful on, yet another, attempt of the Council of Twelve (PoEb), however we got further than ever, despite being severly plaqued with bugged and warping mobs, crashing clients and a lack of mezzers. I'm confident we'll get it done next time.

Other raids last week were cancelled because people were busy with SoF. How's everyone enjoying the new expansion. Seeing that I JUST started looking around TBS and havn't hardly touched DoDH, I've not yet convinced myself I need SoF (but I WANT it).

My declaration of the day: Linking insanely uber items in Guild chat/group chat/general/etc should be an EQ Misdeamenor crime, punishable by a large pp fine and/or doing time dusting off and catalogging old original EQ stUffs.

**Rosleck, congrats on Alla's Player of the Week..Smiley: clap**

Gratz on 74!

My weekend started with the Flu on Fri..it was so popular it decided to stay for a weekend run. Due to popular demand it looks like it gonna hang on for a few more days.

I agree, 1 or 2 nice item links once in a while aren't so bad, but after seeing the 12th item in an hour thats overly nice, it gets a little redundant.

Very little EQ for me over the weekend, still suffering some annoyance and disillusionment from paladin related nerfs and bugs following the expansion, non too motivated to play thanks to them.

Such are the ways of the MMO class balancing act. Sometimes you're up and sometimes you're down. Fortunately, it's not the class but the player that makes an effective toon.

You'll get used to things.

Today's lesson:

When life gives you lemons make lemonade

...or...

When SoE nerfs your class, take full advantage of offers of xtra special cyber from teh guildleader.

The only eq I did this weekend was online with Custumer support and on the phone with them trying to get my gear back. I died right before a sever crash and lost my corpse. I cant summon it or nothing. 3 days of EQ lost and counting

Rosleck flu on Friday? Hah mine started with a bad cold on Wednesday. I have been coughing and dripping since then.
Off from work Thursday and Friday, not feeling like massive eq time, I did play a few minuites here and there. Made some Blue Handmade BP's for toons.Watched the Hornblower dvd's I had been given by my mom. Read a bit, slept a bit, blew my nose lots of times, and played a few hours of Empire Deluxe.
On Saturday I Got Primrosex her ornate leather boots since she dinged 55. Then went to work doing an overnight. Let the younger crew member do most of the talking and hardly slept from not being able to find a postion in the hammock or on deck that didnt block my breathing or start me coughing.
Got home on sunday slept a bit then dusted off Jonwin for a run into Nadox and when he died there (double pull roots kept breaking) noticed I had never done the turn into chester in gunthak for my quick heal spell. So I went there, killed a few mobs and logged out. Loggin in later Chester was up, wiped the area adds then took him on. Spell in hand I once again rain to Nadox, only to have invis drop on the way to the undead. ZOned out and then decided to run uninvised to the light house. Ran for a bit, turned and killed the mobs chasing me, and ran some more.
Played more Empire, and slept a bit more. Watched tv for the evening.

A&E's Horatio Bornblower series?

I watched them all as they came out. They were fun. Nicely done. Enough history to make it believable but enough fiction to make them fun.

Sorry to hear about all the illness....I guess it's that time of year.

Yes, they were nicely done. I had seen them when they first came out, had my brother tape them for me. Enjoyed the one "Duty" as Betsy Patterson Bonaparte was a Baltimore woman. (She never remarried and many years after met Jerome Bonaparte on a street and passed him without saying a word.) The Ship used is a nice model as well, just not as authentic as my girl.
Gregory Peck's Hornblower is also a good hollywood movie.

Honestly, I'd advise against that.

Even when the GL in question is a gnome?

Edit: ok, that link just robbed me of a few real life hours, what a mess there...yikes
