Anyone else have a graphics bug since the launch of SoF? In TSS zones (so far TSS only, and not in CR) I've been only able to see the road, mobs, and players but nothing else. Everything else is some shade of blue. Just wondering if this is a result of the new fog graphics or what.

Anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?

Turn your hw vertex shaders on.

Turned 'em on, zoned, zoned back in and.... it's still the same. :( Going to fiddle around with the graphics a bit to see if anything else helps.

It's probably something with my graphics settings - I'll post here when I get it figured out. Thanks for the start though! =)

Okay, just did a full file scan, and turn on all my pixel shaders except my 2.0 ones (I have a crappy graphics card), and that got rid of most of the blue. Still freezing a bit when turning, but that may not have anything to do with it.

I didn't, but someone I was grouped with in TSS zones did. Seemed to be able to fix it mostly by messing with his graphics.

I will though, that the game runs beautifully with the fix for dual-core processors. Smiley: grin

Might try disabling the West bug fix, mentioned in the notes. Forget exact spot to put it, but it's the line DisableWestBugFix=1

I have gotten it a few times, and also appeared in the new zones as well as TSS, but simple restart fixed it for the past 5hrs or so I was in FC.

Added that in and it did get rid of the freezing when turning, but still no luck with getting rid of the blue. Only when I turn on all my pixel shaders does it work somewhat, and then I lag out because of the bad graphics card. Looks like the only solution I can see is to upgrade the little laptop.

In display part of the option, there is advanced button. Go there and look for advanced lighting. Turning it on seemed to work for some players.

I don't like advanced lighting, it makes bazaar look like it's lit by a bunch of 10,000 watts light bulbs and adjusting gamma after that didn't work so I leave advanced lighting off.

There is also an issue with TSS zones and RAM. When TSS first came out I had 1 GB RAM on my machine and had no problems at all with any zones in EQ. I found that after several hours of play in TSS zones I would start to lag horribly. It was especially obvious when I tried to rotate my character. I would exit EQ, reboot my PC and then I was fine for a couple of more hours.

I finally upgraded my machine to 1.5GB RAM and this reduced the frequency of the problem dramatically.
