I am trying to start my 1.0 Shadow Knight Epic but upon entereing The Over There I am killed on sit. Does this have anything to do with faction and if so can someone help me. Is it true that there are named Mobs that will increase my faction with the True Spirit? And are there other ways for me to raise my faction.

Thank You

The outpost in Overthere is on Venril Sathir faction, which is easily trashed if you ever hunted in Karnor's Castle or Howling Stones.

The only ways to raise that faction are to kill dragons in Veeshan's Peak or to do the Sarnak Warrior Braid quest, as far as I know. Since your faction is so bad now that you can't actually do the Braid quest, you will probably need to shroud in order to do the turn ins or have a friend charm the turn-in NPC.

I don't know about the True Spirit faction, sorry.

Shroud and others charming do not work for the braid quest, since you need higher than indifferent. Self-charming to get ally works using clicky charm items however.

I think you are thinking of the hammer quest, which does request amiable or better faction; the braid quest can be done with dubious faction, so if you can someone to charm Captain Rottgrime (or if you can charm him yourself), you should be able to do those turn-ins and raise your VS faction.

As far as Truespirit faction, what has always worked for me is to go to Butcherblock, kill Pegleg at the bandit camp, and do the quest with the Lesser Spirit that pops. If you don't have good enough TS faction, have an enchanter friend charm him for you first. Get the gem from him, then give it to the guy in Freeport (will need a friend again there to invis you during the turn-in, until your faction gets high enough). It will take several trips back and forth, but it does work.

Yes, I'm also pretty sure that what Yther was referring to was the OT Hammer quest turn in NPC. That guy is the one with the faction requirement that won't let you do the turn in unless you charm him yourself if your faction isn't good enough.

The Braid quest though, linked HERE has posts stating they could do the turn in at dubious faction.

I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure you don't need OT faction to talk to Kurron Ni to start the 1.0. You may need to bring a friend to train the goons around, though.
