I have heard that they did away with them, but I still seem to notice a slower exp rate for my Ikky Shadowknight.
Can someone please confirm whether or not the penalty still is in effect?

The XP penalties have been gone away with as far as races go, IIRC.... what other Chars do you play? Halflings and humans have XP bonuses, so it may be that you are used to the slightly boosted XP.
I am comparing to my Human Ranger. The rumor i heard was both bonuses and penalties were dropped. This is a different twist yet lol.

I believe that only the penalties were dropped. The racial bonuses stayed.
