Haven't played in years coming back?Follow

The last time I played EQ was probably around 1997, so its been awhile to say the least. I don't remember much, I know I had a 40 necromancer but really, I don't remember much else, the lingo, the zones, leveling, the classes, all a thing of the past to me =(. I recently stopped playing World of Warcraft and it kind of brought me back to thinking about playing everquest. Theres something about this time of year that makes me just want to sit down and play a good MMO so I decided i'd give EQ another shot. Well, the problem is, I want to be a noob again, for some reason thats probably the best experience, when you first get a game and its all brand new. I want to be on a server thats not going to be filled with high level players and i'm stuck by myself. I just want to play this game again really, but I want a fun experience.

I haven't decided which class I'll be, though, I've done a bit of research on cleric's and they seem like fun. I'm trying to stray away from the melee type classes, to me, auto attacking isn't that fun and I feel like healing where i'd be clicking more buttons would be best.

Any suggestions or tips? I'll probably be playing tomorrow "Friday November 9th". It'd be great if someone who is starting a character wants to team up, or someone whos looking to reroll. I'm mostly afraid that i'll be left alone in zones and have to solo my way up. Thats how WoW was, but EQ I remember grouping all the time. Anyways, hope to hear some good suggestions, thanks in advance =).
