Is there a way to determine what our faction is with certain factions, I.e Claws of Veeshan, or Emerlad Warriors....etc?

not besides conning a mob on that faction.

they need to add a faction UI window. like EQ2 has. so we can keep track of it better, this could even get players to do more questing, instead of just lvling for end game

Personally, I've always like EQ's faction system. It's much more realistic than others that are charted and numbered.

I think it only adds to the complexity of the game when you go to do something and find out that the NPC you need to deal with doesn't happen to like Wood Elfs.

I think it's challenging to find and kill the mobs that might raise one faction WITHOUT lowering an opposing faction or hurting a preferential faction.

I think its rewarding to FINALLY get a paladin friendly enough with the residents of Paineel that she can hop around the town without fear of death.

Personally I think a faction UI would be a nerf to the one of the best aspects to this game.

it's been said before that due to the number of factions we have as well as some funky spaghetti code, a faction window can't be done.

Yes, even with the funky code and the insane number of faction, couldnt they put a "SEER" of sorts in POK that told you what your faction is?
Much like the seer that tells you about your Planar Progression.....

it's been said that for technical reasons, doing so would be impossible.

the game is already easy enough. the only real challenge now is psyching yourself into spending the time to accomplish things.
