Yes, I am getting same thing. I don't know why either. I have tried to look up the server status, but can't seem to find it anywhere.

I get that %$#@^ timed out error messege as well, and ditto when I tried to log into the Station. I figured it might have been a password hacking so I put that I forgot my password. They sent me a new temporary one that also doesn't work.
Maybe it's because I've already spent over $100 in Legends of Norrath cards this week in hopes of getting a snow leopard loot card, or maybe a naggy, but I feel even more upset at this roadblock into my escape from reality.
I want a free loot card of my choice for ruining my Sunday morning!!!!!!
(well, it doesn't hurt to ask I suppose)

The authentication servers are down. Judging from what I am reading on the Sony boards (I cannot post there because I cannot authenticate!) The servers are going down, if you are logged in, DO NOT log out. If you get bounced out or log out, you will not be getting back in. The problem has been going now for a few hours and NO ONE can get a hold of SOE.

Here is the HUGE TIC-OFF:
They are doing their best to cut costs at all costs. They have centralized their ID management to such a degree that when the authentication servers go down, YOU CANNOT EVEN POST TO THEIR TECH BOARDS!

They have also completely CUT off the customer on the two busiest days of the week by deliberatley REMOVING all phone numbers and on-line chats (which by the way you CANNOT DO when the authentication servers are down.

If I were the big-dog at SOE, I would be FIRING the architect of idioting identity management solution.

So... how to get to them?

I have to do a WHOIS on the patch server to find the registrant!

Well we could just call them and...oh, wait, they're only around Mon-Fri. To quote the church lady, "Now isn't that convient!"
My Gawd, it's bad enough my friends are starting to cross their eyes at me because I play EQ rather than WOW, but now I get to watch them play while MY game sits broken on the side.
Let's see...I just pre-ordered the expansion, I bought over $100 of "virtual" cards...my contributions alone would have paid for someone to be there this weekend!!!!
Sorry I'm venting a bit....at least AllaKhazam's always there for me.

I can now log into station account, and people on the Sony forums are saying they can log into the game.
#11 Oct 21 2007 at 10:06 AM Rating: Decent
Now I can log in, download any updates, but can't get into game (it claims I'm not connected to internet, check connection and try again)
I managed to finally get into "the Station" and attempted to change my password back to something other than the temporary one and I get the security question. Now, I set this account up over a year ago and I'm sure I didn't give a funny answer to it...i mean I know exactly where I was born. However due to case sensitivity or maybe where I put the name of the state, whatever..I can't get in.
Ohhhhhhh, the frustration of it all!!!

Finally....whew..I can get in now. Now all i need to do is re-work my password again.
