Aside from the occasional Alla's group, I'm starting to get bored with EQ...

Everyone under lvl 50 appears to be a bazaar mule, I've gone completely broke from summoning my corpse, getting to places, and buying pots, and I'm not getting anything done with all the time I spend getting my corpse, or looking for buffs to keep me from dying.

Anyone know of any ways to fix this?

i found myseld leaving eq so many times i past 5 yrs , off and on. all my characters under lvl 51 too

i got sick of almost never getting groups , so i made my own. i own 8 accounts only had 3 when i first started. computer could only handle that then. and now i use 5 at same time, i have 2 coputers and one laptop. but my newest ocmputer can handle 5 easy with low texture settings.

i make my own groups now. when no one else around. i have more fun with other real players. but when they leave i log on and keep on grinding

i now have a few friends who i get to play on my accounts plus my wife from time to time.

boxing helps a lot. even if just one more character a tank or healer. druid i find best to group with.

it is sad. but most my characters now this past 2 months now from 22 to 33 and heading to 40 and 50 fast i use 34 of them. i like all classes.

i have been powerelvling my self to get to 51 to work on aa's and hope to find groups. but now i see most players 65+ . so i think again i have to group box alone to try to catch up to the others before most in 75+ . i hate lvl increases. but understand them.

some days i thin eq should just do what eq2 has done and make 2 servers that you can sell and trade characters. that way we could just by the class and lvl we want so we can play with our freinds. but till then, i powere lvl my own characters. i choose not to buy from 3rd party sites like ige. can't trust them.

play a different game (I i.e enjoyed Company of Heroes, RTS), or console games.

buy a bycicle and go cycling.

go for long walks and think about your future.

go to a pub/restaurant/club and get drunk with friends.

get laid.

contribute to one of the many EQ wikis (like https://everquest.allakhazam.com/wiki/ or http://strategywiki.org/wiki/EverQuest )

enjoy ;)

Perhaps try and mix things up a bit. Do some tradeskilling or maybe go farm a lower level zone for plat or items. Find a different place to xp. Try and track when are the best times to find others to play and concentrate your group times then. Do some exploration type quests.

Are you playing on Stromm? Feel free to send me a tell anytime for buffs, or simply to get ya out of a hard spot, or whatever. What is your mains name?

Bottumline, like Kaj says, if you're not having fun, do something else. It's all about the entertainment eh.

Same as Elinda, if you're on stromm feel free to add 'Saeel' to your friend's list and do not hesitate to ask for help.

I'm taking it your main is below level 50 or so, by the way, not sure if this really is the case. If so then it seems like maybe the annoyances will lessen as you get higher up to where you actually tend to run into groups of people more than once in a blue moon, and where you actually have some options and opportunity to making some money for yourself.

Not sure if what you're talking about is your only issues causing the boredom, but I can understand the pains of low levels. Nowadays its rather barren out there at times when trying to work your way into the higher levels, and if you're doing it with a main rather than a well funded alt, well, the costs you mention really do add up. Add in a bazaar where way too many people are looking to get an arm and/or a leg from you for a modest piece of gear and it truly is a pain.

If I'm anywhere in the neighborhood consider yourself welcomed to a free cast of brells, some shaman buffs, and perhaps even a temp (have a cleric at my disposal some of the time)

Its too bad your going thru that. I am on Drinal, and dont usually have that problem. I also have a few of my toons in a very good guild. I only play two accounts, and half of those toons are around or under level 50. I am slowly but surely leveling them, but I enjoy playing my main so much its tough finding the time to play those alts. And that is basically how I keep my interest going. After I accomplish some major goal on my main (Just finished my 2.0 for instance), I log on an alt and play it for a bit. The only thing that disappoints me from time to time, is that I really enjoy LDoNs, and while it isnt hard to find a group, it IS hard to find one that is willing to do LDoNs.

Get into a guild that has lots of members with alts and/or mains your level. I play my alts from time to time when others are on their alts. I like being able to learn how other classes play so my main as a cleric can better buff and heal them. I like finding out what buffs from different classes will stack with my buffs and visa versa. Good luck hun!

Must be nice to have enough money to do that Smiley: lol

Perhaps, starting an alt has often helped a little for me.

I also play CS, CS:S, Prey, as well as many PS2, GC, PS1 & SNES games.

I prefer to walk, which I do a lot in the middle of the nigth with my best friend(koronus if anyone remembers my little freakout last month)

No ID currently, friends are also lame and don't like to go drinking anymore.

I'd love to get laid...I really would...it would be the first time in 6 years.

I see myself as a veteran noob...I don't know near enough to be useful...

I've never been able to make myself do any tradeskilling, always found it to be too slow and expensive...

I'm always up for exploration. I was also thinking of going and checking out Unrest for the first time in a while because I remember being able to finish one run into Unrest with enough loot to have a good 100pp both when it was and wasn't a hotzone.

I've found the best times for me to group are between 1AM and 8AM. Strangely enough a lot of them are also in my time zone...

I
ll remember to do that. My main's name is Meleagant, a human Warrior.

Will do.

I'm lvl 32...and sadly still using mostly gloomingdeep armor and only just replaced my gloomingdeep sword with a new one...I'm trying to get to lvl 50 as fast as possible just for the reason of better groups and easier money.

Brell's...I remember that...it was a really good buff...no one ever casts it anymoreSmiley: frown...but ok, thanks Smiley: smile.

I've NEVER done an LDoN Smiley: frown. Never seen anyone who wanted to do one in 3 years of on and off play...it's kind of sad.

Thanks for the help all.

I restarted on a different server, abandoning my former life as a magic user to become a totally magic-free warrior, no twinkage, and I knew absolutely no one. Let me tell you, it gives you an entirely different view of the game. I'm finding myself having to rely on quests to get anything even semi-decent but with the load of Crescent Reach/Blightfire quests I have been able to level quickly, get very nice items, and appreciate things more.
I've also joined a very nice guild that is NOT hell-bent on raiding or has "level restrictions" which to me says "if you can't help us we don't want you".
I play to have fun..when it stops being fun I stop playing.
(ohhh, and I LOVE the holiday specials! I'm eagerly awaiting the upcoming ghoulish fun I'm sure Sony will unleash upon us next week!)
