I did the PoP progression when I was 50s and 60s back 3 yrs ago.

Has anyone done it since hitting your 70s?

Do you just whiz thru it in a month or 2 now?

I am not finding a good check off list for the progression anyone know of a place to find one?

I have found 2 or 3 PoP Progression links but not like I had 3 yrs ago that was so easy to follow and understand. It seems info is missing. Anyone have a really good, solid, from start to finish PoP progression post I can print out??

My cleric is 74 and is still working thru Pop. On Stromm on Sat and Sun there open flagging runs. I try to make them and like a weekor so ago we killed the squid...other times we didnt have enough show up to do anything.

The folk that run it do a really good job and IMHO would of flown thru it fast IF they had the the same folk show up each week in enough numbers. Folk that miss one weeks progression can slow the process down a lot.

Pop progression is a must, as this springs anniversary mobs will be pop mobs and the best items in the game will droping off them, but you will need to be flagged to get to them.

Oh yes! Back flagging or always "catching people up" is the down side to Pop progression. BUT, when you FINALLY get to click on that sundial in PoT and zone in with all those that worked hard to get there ...well there is nothing like it.

I have a 74 and 4 blue ticks from 75 cleric and a 70 shammy that are Time Flagged. The cleric made it through with guild help and the shammy made it thru by open raiding.

Sunday's open Time raid included "push" people. Those that had not done the progression but wanted to be Time Flagged were added to the raid part way thru.

It was sad to think they missed out on the thrill of getting there the hardway. They missed out on all the memories of the zones they had faught and died in for months and months.

The progress is what kept me logging in! There was a clear cut goal to achieve. The progress forced me to see ALL the zones so I truly experienced the game as it should be.

You know we all get stuck going to the same camps a lot of the time. Well PoP progression MADE you get out of your comfort zones and into some awesome zones with challenges and graphics that were candy for the eyes.

We were given the steps to take and each step of the way was an accomplishment and such fun! Even back flagging was ok to a point lol. I loved checking off each step and seeing my progression.

After all it is called EVERQUEST and it surely lived up to its name with the PoP Progression hehe.

Lol, I think my druid started on PoP around 65, at 72 I'm working on my elemental drops. (and missed the last two weeks successful runs...grr, but grats on Xegony DOOM!! Smiley: grin)

It has been hard with open raids as Ros mentioned. Man, I could stand to never have to do MB again...ever!. Backflagging constantly. I've probably done all the pre-elemental raids, successfully, 3 to 5 times each, some more.

PoP raids are notoriously complex in that they almost always require some off-tanking/and or other massive mob control, so you certainly don't need the numbers that you used to need but still need a good solid raid with ample healers, a few good tanks and massive dps. We're running elementals with four or five groups with average raid level usually 71 or 72....and they're not a cake walk.

An aside: The open Doom Pop raids started shortly after the inception of Peoples of Doom, Gnome had never intended to keep running open raids, once we had a force large enough in the guild. They just never became sustainable within the guild, though we get a great turn out.
