Solo LDONFollow

Getting my stone maxed has now become personal and i want to max it bad. Recently a friend of mine got an account and relized he hates EQ. He has one more month on his account and i want to use that to gear up some toon and get him to 20 and solo LDONs or possibly shroud and duo them. I can add some AFKers in guild to fill spots so i can actually do them. My cpu is slow and i have one cpu so i would 2 box on one cpu and it would be slow. Its bad enough trying to just run 2 games at once. So i need to solo them or add low level LFGers which are rare.

So my question is. What class at 20-25 would be best to solo with. I was thinking a ranger with a damage shield would work best. Or a monk. I do not have unlimited plat. Not a plat purcheser. All mine is earned. I figure i could part with 50-75K to gear him up. All i want is the W. The toon is going to go away in one month and i have no interest in playing two toons. I tried to solo at 75 with my pally. I can kill stuff and stay alive. But it is so slow. For the work i need to put in. It was frustrating. Rather semi twink a low level and plow through them.

I would suggest a necro. Get the pet some mage-summoned armor for AC and HPs. If your char is around 20 and pet can't dual wield then give the pet a 2hander and it will tear mobs up. If it can dual wield, then get some of the mage-summoned pet toys. Shroud your paly as a cleric and you should do pretty well, imho.

Edit - I was going to say something about LDoN adventures requiring three-member groups but it looks like you are planning on 3-boxing?

I play nights. So as for needing 3 people. I will leave my main in the bazaar. And then add someone from guild who is in trader all night. I hope to do about 2 a night at least. If i can add people i ll do as many as i can. The numbers are never a problem. Its getting hte missions done.
#6REDACTED, Posted: Oct 05 2007 at 12:13 PM, Rating: Unrated, (Expand Post) you could probably get inside a mission, you could probably even kill most, or all if you have some really nice gear already, of the monsters.

you should be able to solo butcherblock LDON easy enough as a necro. Lots of undead in there. Take some heal potions with you.

With mudflation, soloing LDoN's is a breeze. I did a bunch of Miragul's in Everfrost when I was trying to get lemming furs to skill up tailoring. I was three boxing, and using all my exp to aaxp and I could get them done in under the two hour time limits, mostly.

i boxed a few of them in the 20's was easy. but i tried to box at lvl 45, 3 box cleric warror, druid. died fast. after 3 tried gave up , knowing i'll never get the spells i needed, unless the game brings in new players or. as said before soloable missions for the ldon pts

I think I'm going to take my 55 necro to Butcherblock and solo it :)

I was in Miragul's foraging for lemming furs. That was my primary goal. I was only killing to kill time. I'm sure If I tried it would have been a breeze.

If I could tap tank in AC at 55, I should be able to clear BB LDoN's with all the undead and my undead spells.

Hi Toxets,
I have duoed LDONS unshrouded with hubby we are both 75 I am a ranger and he is a cleric and we have a boxed shaman tagging along just soaking up the experience. I am Tacvi Time and Anguish geared and it still gets a little hair when we pull more than two at a time. I am interested to learn exactly how you solo them.

Ldons do have an redeeming quality. The Gear that drops there can tribute for up to 27k tribute points. And if doing Hi end trade skills it is a great place to forage them.

Just my two cents

I know a 70 necro who routinely solo'd miragul's and there is no undead there :) I know it can be done. I agree that tribute farming is the best use for LDoN's now. That, and some of the spells are still worth getting for some classes.

at 55 my necro kills even con mobs in Blackfeather roost in less than a minute and those mobs have 3 times the hitpoints that they do in LDoN's. Mana regen is not a problem since I'm way over the cap. I'm working on defensive aa's atm, but they weren't really a priority since my necro rarely gets hit when kiting.

I'd have to say that LDoN was the 3rd best thing to happen to groupers. The best is probably Dragons of Norrath or Dungeons of Darkhollow. Both had challenging arcs and decent risk vs reward geared towards groupers.

As I've said in other threads, LDoNs are easily soloable upto low 50s, and at 75 also. In between those levels, it's very difficult. I've soloed as a Ranger missions at 75, other classes could do it even easier. I've also seen many ppl solo them at low levels and have myself on alts. I've seen many ppl shroud to 20 Wiz to solo them, although a well equipped toon will be much better than a shrouded one.

And I do mean solo, only one person in the instance, the other two afk (shrouded or not) in the guild hall. They are easy to do at low levels.
