I have lost the ability for my mouse pointer to point to an item in inventory or as loot and get an identification label showing the items name. I have to use alt or r-click to see the item. That is very tediuos. Can someone tell me how to fix this, PLEASE!!

I had this problem when I updated to a newer version of directX. I had to update the OS in order to fix it (whatever the latest MS update version is).

What did you change on your computer between when it last worked and when it didn't? That's usually a good starting point.

The only time I've ever had this happen was when I went 7+ days without restarting my computer... try restarting it, it may help.

This is a known problem. When they went to dx 9?
There is a fix to it. Go to sony site and start looking around.
The fix for some reason has never worked on my computer.
I still lose my mouse cursor, but when I log out and restart computer it will eventually come back.
Over the last two weeks, I have had the problem of the pointer being off of the actual point. I.e. The point is on spell icon 3 and its actually just above it on the screen.

Well, it is fixed now. I am not sure exactly what fixed it, During yesterdays patch downtime, I went into the Everquest directory on my computer and deleted the entire UIFiles folder. Then I logged into the game, and got all those UI files repatched.

Then again SoE may have corrected the issue with yesterdays patch. All I know is that when the servers came back up, everything was fine, Thank Grod.
