I accidentally gave an Epic turn-in to the NPC's pet - I was a little stressed by the time I got the piece and in a hurry. I petitioned and went to bed -2AM.

When I checked at 6:00AM the item had allready been returned to me - and they even told me what I had done and what slot in which bag of my inventory they put the item in. Guess maybe it depends on how you talk to them. Now have an epic!

I have nothing but good things to say about SOE customer service. I to deleted my 1.5, it was promptly returned in a timely manner. I also received prompt service on a couple more occasions with positve results.

I've had a spectral parchment returned when I accidently gave it to my pet instead of the turn-in person. I've also petitioned a couple times for a surname that was rejected but when I logged in after petitioning my chars had their names.

Congrats on your epic!

jimiterry - the whining was the reason i posted this - not bragging about the Epic. I just got tired of all the negative "I'm gonna quit EQ because customer service is so bad". I've been playing this game since 2000, have had many good resposes from CS and GM's over the years. However, this is the first Epic I have gotten because my wife and I both box and are not guilded. Had to get big enough to take out former raid mobs with single group. So, really, a 1.0 epic is nothing to crow about and certainly doesn/t add to my gear - just nice to have.

I have had to use CS a few times now, and they are as prompt as they can be. I had a new shoulder piece, and was inserting a new aug into it, when the server crashed. Both poofed, when I returned, I was Pisssssseedddd, it was 2am, and I was going to log, as soon as it was done.

Customer Service came thru, and that next night, I had GM hand me online, the shoulder piece, and the aug back to me. He was real nice, and asked me three times if there was anything else he could do. I did ask him to whip up a phat million plat., that was one request he just couldn't do. <laugh>

Congrats on the epic.

I gave one of my epic pieces to the wrong NPC at the wrong time and he ate it. SoE gave it back to me. Then I lost the bag that one of my epic pieces was in, SoE gave it back to me again. On that occasion the GM came into the GL and turned all my guildmates into Raptors while waiting for me to return from an AFK..Smiley: grin

I gave my husbands BL's pet a weapon once that I was trying to give to my hubby and SoE gave it back.

Once when I was falling to my death while swimming the GM came right into the game and watched, and fixed me (and rezzed me after I demonstrated how I died).

The GM's have always been very timely and helpful when it was something, in-game that they have some control over.

Customer Service and dealing with accounts, billing etc is a whole nother story.

The same thing happened to me, with the aug pool. Was returned the next day.

I have had bad experiences with CS in the past though, and I say it needs some work.

GMs were prompt and helpful to me a couple of weeks into my return when I needed them (did the pet feed trick myself).

...I wonder if making the pet trade window a red background (instead of the standard UI grey) would save the GM's a lot of legwork?

When I did my 1.0 turn-in to make my warrior epic augmentable, I gave the guy my red scabbard, my blade of tactics and blade of strategy. The NPC KEPT the scabbard (which as you good warriors know is REQUIRED to turn the 2 blades into the Jagged Blade of War), and handed me back my 2 blades... unaugmented. I petitioned, and within 3 hours, I got a NEW red scabbard with which to complete my quest! On a MAJOR plus side, I ALSO got to keep the Jagged Blade of War (Augmentable) AND my Blades of Tactics and Strategy (both augmentable). Got BETTER than I bargained for! I have NO complaints with the GMs and CS.

I just wish I could have a really cool suffix, instead of "of Tunare). Any GM's listening?

hmmm... really nice that a lot (not all) of you are just having complaints about a simple lost item which with a little work you could get again. Honestly i wouldn't say they are that good until you come to a problem actually worthy of complaining about and not just player laziness.

Yes, i don't give a dam if i get rated down, in fact i expect it from anyone who just can't handle the truth, which in my experience is a lot of people.

Honestly, I just read your post 3 times through and still don't understand where you were going with it exactly, or even who you are attacking/defending for someone to be rating you down.
