I like LDoN for one main reason. We have a lot of folks from different countries and states in our guild and its a small family type guild, most of us know each other in RL. When we have folks logged in in Germany, Italy, Iraq, Florida, and Washington it is often a matter of what can we do for an hour before someone has to go to bed and someone else has to go to work. Hey, let's do an LDoN! Problem solved. You get a complete mission with a sense of accomplishment in a lil over an hour ... if you're good lol. Other than that I like PoP.

I never could get into LDoN... mainly because it was only really popular when the expansion first launched. I couldn't seem to get a group anywhere else, and running the same mindless instance over and over again didn't appeal to me... the augs, however, were pretty nice.

I disliked LDoN more when we were only doing infinite Mistmoore & Takish missions. Once I got people doing Perma, EC and even (Heavens forbid!) Guk, it was a lot more fun. Some of those Perma missions are friggin' huge.

I liked LDoN as long as there was a varity in the missions.

Shame the stone quest is bugged atm for newer toons.

I just did the adventure stone quest 2 days ago for my new monk, it worked fine and normal.

If I recall, you don't need the adventure stone to actually do the adventures, but only to use the magus.

Not positive though.

LDoN's were fun. They really helped with group dynamics, and they guarenteed you a group, pretty much, for a certain amount of time. But like all EQ content, the easy path becomes over-trod while people do the easiest, quickest content over and over.

If SoE want to do something to make me happy, add 5 new missions to each LDoN area. Up the stats on the augment to 3X the amount (amd make it type 7 :). Add new drops to the zones. Up the ZEM for LDoN's.

I love LDoN's as they seem to be the only way to get dungeon crawls.

We used LDoNs to level through our twenties and thirties. Exp seemed to be ok, and the adventure points were a nice plus back when the LDoN spells couldn't be researched, in addition to the adventure stone which was about the only charm augment for low levels before Slipgear's Gem and Wanderlust stone were available. We still like doing LDoNs, although they seem a bit too hard in the 50ies and there are many other things to do for better exp... it still feels like coming home :-)
