i'm just returning from a 3 year absence so my memory is quite hazy.
when i played before, i used some mob to afk my piercing skill. i remember this mob having like a million hp, and max hit for like 10, so i could turn on my heal song and go to work and not worry.
right now, i'm looking for some way to afk my 1hb skill
are there any places i can still do this?

I think that mob was the frog in innothule swamp. I don't remember if they nerfed him.

The Katta banker was THE place to go for parses and skillups. That's no longer so. What you can do is attack a friend's pet with the lowest ratio weapon you can find, have the pet fully buffed and with the best regen money can buy - if you absolutely have to do this while AFK, that is.
You have to wonder if the OP isn't an SOE employee just trying to find any new skillup mobs they might have missed so they can give them the fix.

The mob in Innuthule( a froglok ) now casts a spin stun, so you cannot work your skill ups on him anymore
