Drakkin sub 30lvl?Follow

#1 Aug 10 2007 at 5:13 AM Rating: Decent
I know things tend to get equal in the end game, but here is a question for 30 and under lvls only.

For a Necro, sub lvl 30, is the Drakkin breath weapon or ikky regen/armor class better, assuming you are starting naked with your first charecter. There will be no outside help, no decent items will be equpied to compensate. nothing but silk and common items.

Thanks!

If you are truly playing it hardcore untwinked the Drakkin wins hands-down because of the starting area (newb quest rewards, plat & tradeskill items). Opinion varies on the Drakkin Breath weapon. But that assumes you set the Iksar to Cabilis as home city.

Pick the one you want to look at for hours.

Thanks for your imput. Since both can start at the drakkin home city, what do you think if both start there?

Since you asked for my opinion I will be courteous and reply.

Some background though: I personally think the Iksar are the best race in the game. I like Cabilis (the starting city) and the whole feel of the zones around it. I levelled my Iksar Beastlord to 51 a few years ago sticking primarly to those zones. Yes it was slower than using newer zones available -especially since that character used only quested gear and earned drops till 50, but it was fun for me.

But as I said in my previous post, the Drakkin home city has been made advantageous to start at. I have made some new Drakkin characters but my new non-drakkin start at their original city. If you want to be an "Iksar of Crescent Reach" that is your choice to make and nothing wrong with it. I personally wouldn't --but that is more about my game/lore philosophy than whether it is advantageous for your character.

Setting your Iksar's home city to Cabilis doesn't prevent you doing the quests in Crescent Reach either.
