so yeah, i would advise against buying any expensive bags/aaaa's at the moment.
if sony gets cranky, they may wind up rolling back anyone who bought duped bags.

nope. and since that patch, it's been posted on several public boards... so there are now 30 AAAA's up in the bazaar on my current server, in contrast to 3 prepatch.
Word is, the patch was intended to fix it, but they couldn't figure out how to do so without reverting the new item window. No real clue if that's true, though.

Yar, I currently have 10 for sale on Povar and I usually sell one a day or every other day for 140k. All of a sudden I see them last night being ooc'd for 100k and less. And then, two different people tried to sell my trader theirs for cheap.
I can do without the rollback, but I hope that SoE gets the duped ones off the market.

Yeah this dupe bug has been around for a while. A little over a month now and it is related to the issue where you would try to sell the bag and the merchant refuses it for no reason.
Do avoid this and try not to buy any bags from bazaar for a while. A couple peep I know got the axe from the GM when they were caught in the act. SOE is watching very closely on a certain NPC for unusual volume of bags.
This bug has been posted several times on EQ Live forum but they all were moved to moderator only section because it was too revealing and risked more dupers.
As for the roll back, I kind of doubt it can happen. It's been too long since the dupe bug was first discovered and SOE hasn't plugged that exploit yet. And don't forget the fiasco from almost 2 years ago when beta NPC slipped into POK selling rare items in unlimited amount, a lot of people howled loudly as many who weren't directly involved got rolled back anyway. It was too much of a mess and SOE don't want any more double XP weekend or piles of petitions to sort through.
If you figured out the dupe, don't exploit it at all and don't tell anyone. Don't buy bags from someone that has unrealistic price or quantity in inventory. Someone on Maelin had around 30 AAAA, for 90k each. Went down after a few /ooc to other traders who also noticed it and I don't know how many petitions were filed to investigate.

Yeah, so I filed a petition and the GMs are acting like they knew nothing about it. What a joke.
I spend hours upon hours making all of the components for 4A boxes while these tards are duping them and selling them for less than the cost of the HQ Steel. People that have never sold a crafted item suddenly have the ability and the items to make the most complicated crafted item in game.
Its a freaking slap in the face everytime I see someone selling 15 @ 50k each.
