A question that's been bothering me for quite some time:

Will already attuned augments (f.e. a Mudflow Stone) still work in a tradeskill combine (f.e. Brilliant Cut Mudflow Stone)?

Instinctually I want to say 'no'. They couldn't be used again at any rate, unless further combines with them 'unattune' them. But maybe you could use them for skill-ups?

I've never tried though. Just got my jewelcraft up to where I was starting to cut augs, when I swore off tradeskilling.

Interesting question.

I would think it is yes, just because you can upgrade Magnetic and other OoW player made items after they have been attuned. The only problem with that is, the person who attuned the item, is the only one who do the combine, since the items become No Trade once attuned.

If no one gives a definitive answer in the many hours I'm gone, when I get back, I"ll have my favorite aug upgrader test it out on crappy *flow aug to verify what the status is.

You can cut it (if you do it yourself, obviously) but the aug will still be attunable after, so you're still stuck with it :p

Yes, I have done it on my rogue. It is a no trade item so you can't do the combine on another toon, but if you are a rogue or shaman and have the tradskill numbers to upgrade it yourself, then you can do the combime to upgrade on an aug that has already been attuned to you. One thing to note is that you used to be able to take an "of minor" aug that was attunned and no drop, and create an "of pure" aug that was attunable and not no drop. The devs caught on and fixed that like a year after the expansion.
