My wife , step son and I have this group as a existing party. We currently have a Pally, Cleric, Mage and a bard. I box the bard and the cleric. THe wife and step son want to try boxing as well to make it a full group.

My first thought would be for a chanter and a shammy to fill it out. I thought as it will be a few days before the new accounts keys get here I would see what you, the experts thing and or sugguest for filling the last 2 slots in the group.

Since you have a bard for crowd control, I would pick shammy over chanter for the first spot. Then I would add some DPS for the second spot. Wizard is a good boxed toon. Berserker or rogue would be good too but need a little more attention to make full use of them.

You should have a druid, no real reason, except that they're awesome. Smiley: wink

Actually though a porter/evacer would be handy so you could go wizzy, shammy for port, nukes, slows, back-up heals, buffs. Or perhaps Druid, chanty for ports,back-up heals, cc, buffs etc.

Only Wiz and Dru get ports. The others mentioned can only gate themselves.

But yea, Shm would be my first pick, and DPS for other. Druid could fill DPS and add ports and back up heals, and 0% rez later on with AA. Wizard would also be excellent DPS and ports.

Enc would be handy, but their buffs are pretty long other than Haste, which a Shammy could do also, just not as good, but if your melee have good worn Haste and near max stats, the Shammy's will be just as effective, and the Shm slows are better, and their buffs don't last long. Also, they add alot of melee DPS with their short buffs, helping out the Pally, Bard, and pets for those with Pet Affinity. Also, as others mentioned, the Bard should have crowd control tasks handled.

Many classes could fill the last spot tho. I'd say it depends on what the group needs the most. Necro would be good for DPS and can feed mana to the group, if that's a problem. Also could help pull really crowded area with FD, bringing the number of mobs down to something the bard could easily crowd control. I mentioned Dru and Wiz also. Dru will add HP buff with mana regen, which will most likely help most of the group, other than the bard.

I'll stop with that, eventhough there are lots of other possibilities, especially if you PL some toons, just to buff the rest of the group and not actually be active members of it.

Shaman is a definate. Last class can be entirely up to you but the ports from druid/wiz may make it easier. Take a look at what an Sk or necro could add to the group?
Keep in mind if the other folks will be two boxing casters. I myself find that a bit hectic. Or are your machines fast enough that they will be using one machine with 2 eq's?

I think Wizard/Shaman would be the best bet. Both are very easy to 2box for players that do not have 2 box experience. Shaman for buffs and slows and dots and the wizard for one button DPS and ports/evacs.

Shaman and Druid (or wizard, personal preferance).

Shaman will add a lot of very nice buffs to your group, nice DPS (with panther and DoTs) slows, and backup healer.

Druid is nice DPS, although not as good as the wizard your druid has heals and buffs. Ports and evac.

My current setup is:

Warrior
Cleric / Enchanter / Bard (depends on what i'm doing)
Shaman
Druid

I'd go with shammy/wizard, myself. You are still lacking slow in the 4 you have now. Wizards are good box toons because you can cast two nukes and concussion without taking too much attention from your other toon. Shammy would be a good box for the mage, for the same reason. Mage sends in pet, tab back to shammy, slow, debuff, tab back to mage, nuke, nuke and if you have to, heal with the shammy.

Thanx to everyone who took the time to reply. Looks like we will be adding a Shammy and a BL. I know BL wasent mentioned, but my wife wanted to try a toon she had never played before.
