1. EQ does have quests. Is there any url that I can go to, similiar to Thottbot in World of Warcraft, where I can type in the name of the quest and get information on the quest location and how to do the quest?

2. How do I get to the nexus?

3. Is there a location of location portals by loc and by where they send the players?

4. Several years ago, I did play Everquest. I hated all of the corpse runs. Has this been improved? If so, how?

Thanks in advance.

1 - for quests you can search here. I search for quests starting with the NPC or one of the components. if you want to search by quest reward, you need a premium membership.
2 - nexus? depends on where you are. it's just off PoK - abbreviations FTW :-D
3 - there are some, but I don't have a link here right now.
4 - yes, corpse runs have been improved big time. now you only have 30 mins, to retrieve your crospe, else you loose a level and all your gear. j/k. has improved big time indeed. now the corpses (and gear) don't poof but end up in a special zone (after 7 days iirc). else you can summon them in the guildhall (or was it lobby, hehe) for a small fee.

WB :)

To expand a little on the replies above:

ad. 1: Click 'Zones - By Era' on the left here and find the zone where you got the quest. Click the 'Quests for <zone name>'-link. Not as neat as Thottbot, but you'l find that most quests in EQ take much longer to complete than the 'quests' in WoW, -> you do fewer quests. WoW quests are more like 'tasks' in EQ.

ad. 2: The Nexus is the 'hub' connecting many of the Luclin (moon) zones. You can get there easily from the Plane of Knowledge, there's a portal stone in the NE section. Hit Backspace when you are in PoK and look around.

ad. 3: Hit Backspace when you are in PoK and look around. Be advised that many of the portal stones actually take you to a zone outside the city, and not into the city the stone is named for.

ad. 4: Welcome back. Corpse runs are a thing of the past. Or at least - now you have a VERY easy second option, which is to summon your corpse to the guild lobby (off PoK) and hope to find a resurrection there. If, after seven days, you still haven't picked up your stuff (slacker!) then you corpse is sent to Shadowrest, which you can reach from PoK (don't ask how, I only went there once to see the place...)
