Ok, went to reload Everquest with the Anniversary Edition, and two seconds into the download ( from the disks) I get a message "CRC error the file (blank) is not in the Setups cab file."

I have no idea what that means, can anybody help, cause now it seems as if I will n

CRC errors usually mean a bad CD. It stands for Cyclic Redundancy Check - the computer can't read the whole file from the CD.

You could try contacting SOE - most companies are good about sending replacement CDs in cases like this.

Or you could get rid of the CDs, simply use the patcher to download EQ and then insert the product key...

Damn, where was that link to the patcher download again?

Just in case you haven't solved this yet:

Start by cleaning the CD, it may just be a stain of some sort. If that doesn't work you can at least get the Trilogy HERE. Once you have that up and running, just use patcher to get all the other files, as bbot suggested. Start the patcher, go into 'Advanced' and select all expansions - and go read a book ;-)

Good luck!
