Looking for tank-like classFollow

I'm getting a bit sick and tired of having to run away when I get hit, or when my pet dies... So I'm looking for a new character to make that isn't pure magic, and can tank somewhat well.

I already have a mage, necro and bard, so something beside one of those would be nice.

I have a BoC, 34% haste belt, fungi, some really nice 2hs thats 30/39 (Somewhere around there, its a nice sword that I managed to get for cheap), the best two no-wield/req/recommended h2h weapons, and a few other really nice goodies...

Right now Pally and SK are at the top of the list, since SK can fear kite and pally can res/has undead procs. But cleric and beastie are up there as well, since cleric can absolutely own undead, are useful end-game, etc...

Its been such a long time since I've played ANY of those classes, so I'm really interested in what you all think - what is the "most fun" (Hard to gauge, I know), most useful, quickest to solo, and can easily group or solo 1 through 50.
I'm looking for the best balance of all of those aspects, because I'm not exactly enjoying my necro/mage/(Bard, kind of) right now.

Note: I also have a brazier of the elements (Level 12 fire pet potion) sitting in my bank... I read that a cleric + that is amazing, but I really don't want to make a class because I have that... Since its hard enough to keep a pet alive as a mage, let alone as another class.

If it is soloing you wanna do from those you listed I'd recommend Beastlord. Way more DPS than Pally/SK but can take more of a beating than the casters can.

Most fun is an opinion, so cant answer that. But i would say a beastlord covers all the other aspects that your looking for

Yeah I've had a beastie in the past, and they're pretty fun, but I've been reading up and people are saying they aren't wanted in groups unless you can't find a shammy or enc.
What about monks? Are they worth while 1-50 solo (With fungi, haste belt, 15/20 h2h, potions, etc.) and 51+ group?

Monk is the one class I still hope to play someday (got one that's level 34). Yes, they solo quite well. Their FD probably makes them the least dying classes. Gear can change the stats incredibly on a Monk so you can have much input into how you want your Monk to be. They're the best pullers and provide dyno dps, so are good for groupage.

Hate to argue with that post Elinda, but monks are ONE of the best pulling classes, not the best. THE best pulling class would be one that can drop agro instantly, can mez, snare, and paci mobs while running, and can even return mobs to their spawn points.
If I rerolled I would start another SK hands down. (in fact I did on FV)

QFT. Even though monks meet the mez, snare, lull and agro requirements, I'd still rather have a bard!

Shadowknights and Paladins do solo quite well, however beastlords probably better. You won't be able to solo very well 65+ though.

Thanks everyone... I've been trying my monk, but its a bit boring since theres no real risk involved (Three get out of jail free cards... Well, two and a half (FD, Mend, ID))... I want to go beastie again BUT I don't like the lack of pulling ability, since the level 20(25?) hotzone at the moment is (Insert the name of the zone off of nexus), and the mobs there tend to come in groups.

Oh well I'll tough it out with my beastie.
