if i won a lotto, i'd have for everquest. one account for each race, and have all classes set up. multi computers in a circle that i could 6 box groups

i current goal is for my 2 main accounts that i have one all casters one all melee types. I lvled all to 20 and some past to 35-52, but now i'm working on lvling the rest of 20's to 30's. i enjoy working on so many characters. my other two accounts i use to help power lvl. i have 4 other accounts with just one character lvl 1 on each. i hope to some day have all rases and all classes for those races. lvl all to 51. then i'll work on aa's and lvling higher.

i don't play any mmorpg to gjust get to end game and wait for expansions. i like learning everything about the game. i now try new zones to lvl each character. but there's so many of them. i'm sure i havn't seen even half of the lvl 30 or less zones. i've only seen one plane , disease i think, and that was just to get killed quickly yo bring down my beastlord from lvl 54 to 51, to work on aa's easier solo wise.

i know dumb. but i don't know the game well past lvl 30 really, not yet

hate to say it but thats half the reason i left everquest.

everyone boxes an alt or only go with this one guy cause he has 3 classes he can play at once. you also loose alot of the fun when you do that.

Don't blame the boxers, blame the game design.

1 character + 1 character does not = 2 characters in Everquest.

It equals going from sitting in PoK for hours typing LFG to being able to experience most of Everquests content.

How about this one?

You have a Monk, Rogue, Wizard, Enchanter and a Warrior all played by real people, no boxers.
You cannot find a healer at all.

Adding 1 boxed Cleric you go from doing nothing to do anything you want.

agreed boxing has been 90% of my game play for all my characters under 40th lvl. i find at 40th i can get groups easier.

lvling would be faster with a great group of 4 to 6. but i find it better to box 2-3 vs grouping with 2 other guys. as i know whan i need the down time.

plus for past 2 yrs. i play while watching my son he's almost 3 now, so when i have to run after my kid, and risk my own characters death. i'm ok with that. i just log in my clerics and rez, but if i end up getting other characters killed they get mad and don't group with me.

so boxing is nessisary for some of us. i always let folks know that i'm boxing when they ask to jion my group or invite me, abd i let them know about my kid i'm watching

wholly crap... this guys going to still be leveling to 65 with his alts when EQ3 comes out. i wish u luck. i could play this game at times for 24hours straight through an wouldnt have the patience for all the sidework bull$hit your going to have to do. the epics alone would gimmie a headache. but id offer some advice for ya. if ya do druid. make one of them elves or 1/2 elves an u get a manafree root necklace quest option when u worship tunare. an for your shaman go troll, an worship inny, cleric go darkelf an worship inny, an u get a quest option for a snaring item. goodluck out there.

I would pay off my student loans. Then get a high end machine with the best graphics card out there. Then I would reactivate the second account. Just to try to entice elne clare back to the game.

I would have done this back in 2000, but now it isn't that much fun. If I won the lotto back in 2000...

I would have purchased three desktops and five laptops. Three desktops and three laptops would be solely for playing EQ in a multibox situation. One laptop would have been reserved for my trader whether it was still EC or the Bazaar once Luclin came out. The last laptop would have been my search engine to access EQMap, Allakhazam, EQTraders, etc.

Since I would have won the lottery, there would be no reason to work. That would give me time to play EQ all day long. Based on that, I would have tried th following:

One character would have been in an European or Asian guild, namely a raiding guild that raided in the USA mornings. Another character, I would have played in a USA evening guild. My other four characters would have been my boxed characters to play between the two raiding times.

Therefore, a typical day would have been:

Wake up around 6 AM
7 AM to 11AM raid with one character and one guild
11 AM - 7 PM group with my box
7 PM - 11 PM raid with another character and another guild

Along with that, I would have hired a cook. I have some friends that will make healthy meals and deliver them to people. They will make breakfast, lunch, dinner, and a couple snacks for about 3-4 days, then deliver them to the person and all they have to do it heat it up.

I have 2 accounts, so I would buy another desktop and add one more account. I think running 3 chars would be enough. Of course, quitting work and playing all day goes without saying. I'd also pay for the 2 year subscription for everyone in my guild so they would have no reason to quit. Smiley: grin

I think I'd also buy a whole bunch of the anniversary packs and give them away to people. That would get some new people into the game.

Now I just need to win the lotto!

I think I'd just quit EQ and live happily ever after in e.g. Mexico, enjoying booze and such........

and maybe I'd pity the peeps, which are still addicted to MMORPG's ;)

If you had real ambition, you would be aiming to outdo this guy.

He's is/was famous for 12 boxing.

I s'pose its good to have a goal in life, tho....Smiley: dubious

I think the most I would try to do is maybe 3 box, but on 3 seperate desktop rigs. Anything more than that I think would get confusing and would be more trouble than it was worth. I'd play EQ and LOTRO regularly, and would also have WoW, EQ2, and Vanguard accounts just so I didn't get bored.

And I thought I paid too much a month for EQ. I looked at all of sam's toons and none of them are geared that well for someone that can run his own group, let alone his own raid. When you determine how all loot is distributed and what targets you go after it leads to really well geared toons. Whatever makes him happy though I guess.
